This article was tittled "Turn System Explained!", which covers a lot of turn system explanation. From further research about reflection, I think reflection system deserves to get its own explanation. However, since reflection has a close connection with turn system, I think it would be better to merge the reflection explanation and turn system explanation.
You might have been wondering, what make you sometime go first in battledome and some other time go second. Apparently, by clicking the go button before your opponent, you will be the second one to move, and by clicking the go button after your opponent, you will be the first one to move. It explains why you are always the first person to move in 1 P battle, since they doesn't require time to click the go button (as if they have one). However, when you're fighting a frozen opponent, no matter when you click the go button, you're always considered to be the first person to click the go button. Please remember the term I'm going to use in this article : move/go first is equal to click go button second, and move/go second is equal to click go button first. Still confused? OK here you go, a screenshot to help you improve your understanding : <From the screenshot above, A move first (displayed on top, before B's move), click go button second, and B move second, click go button first. Rod of Nova only block all dark if used by person who click go button first. There are several weapons defence capabilities that only work when used by clicking go button first. What is the advantage of clicking go button first? Firstly, it has reflection advantage. For example : A goes the for the first move, and B goes for the second move. Both A and B use a weapon with 100 n icon and a 50% n icon reflector. A reflects 50 icon of B's attack. While B reflects 75 of A's attack (including what A reflected from B's attack). Assume each icon equal to 1 damage. A will deal 75 damage to B, and B will deal 125 damage to A. Another screenshot example: ![]() The pet on the left shown as second to move (click go button first). He reflect reflected icon done by the pet on the right, thus dealing more damage to the pet on the right. The conclusion ? Reflection or attacks that shown as reflected icons from B (the one that moves the second in a turn) cannot be blocked or reflected back. Pretty handy against Thyoras Tear. <i>Note : Some weapons that use reflected icons are Glowing Cauldron and Bracelet of Kings How to calculate damage for reflection? Hmm, that's a little tough, but always remember that you have to ignore the reflected icon shown, especially in 2 player battles, and when you click go button before your opponent, because reflection icon always shown in percentage of opponents attack (for example 25%, 50%, 80%, etc) if and only if you click go button the second time (or if you want to know how the icon get displayed, please check my article on defence system and defence icon system). Ok then, now to the formula : First person to click go button : Reflection percentage * opponent's icon * opponent's strength boost multiplier * opponent's stance multiplier Second person to click go button : Reflected icon * opponent's stance multiplier or it can be written as : Reflection percentage * opponent's icon * opponent's strength boost multiplier * opponent's stance multiplier * opponent's stance multiplier. Hence, if you click go button second time, it would be very advantageous if the opponent use berserk, but would be worst if the opponent use defend or even improved defend. What if you click go button first and manage to reflect opponent's reflection? That's the most tricky question so far. OK, this time, what matters are your stance and your strength boost. The reflection formula is as following : Opponent's reflection percentage * your reflection's percentage * your attack icon * your strength boost multipiler * your stance multiplier. Still confused? OK here you go, a screenshot to help you improve your understanding : ![]() r92 reflects and clicks go button second/ ![]() r92 reflects and clicks go button first. ![]() r92's reflection is being reflected because he clicked go button second. Any other thing? Yes, glowing cauldron, apparently use your own strength boost and unblockable if it used when you are the second person to move (the first one to click go button) and it use your opponent strength boost and blockable if it used when you are the first person to move like in 1 P battle. What about the formula? Hmm it's really hard question, but has pretty similiar answer and not really same with normal reflection. Ok, here we go... If you click go button first, you use your own strength and both you and your opponent's stance don't matter : Damage = Your icon * your strength boost multiplier If you click go button second, you use opponent's strength and his stance : Damage = Your icon * opponent's strength boost multiplier * opponent's stance multiplier. What if you reflect opponent's glowing cauldron/bracelet of kings? That's also tricky, but every questions has its answer :) Damage = Reflection percentage * opponent's icon * your strength boost multiplier. And don't forget to reduce the damage done to you : Opponent's damage = (1-your reflection percentage) * opponent's icon * your strength boost multiplier * your stance multiplier. Confusing...? Yea, I myself also confused :P So summary for reflection and its correlation with the turn system, if you are : Quote:First person to click go button : 1. Your reflection isI give you a case for example. You use Sword of Skardsen and ultra dark reflectorb against opponent who does the same. You use defend and your opponent use berserk. Your strength boost is 300 and the opponent has 250 strength boost. Assuming both sos do 4 physical icons, what are the damages inflicted by both side? Case 1 : You click go first before the opponent Damage inflicted by you : 1. 1st reflection : 6.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 1.5 = 73.125 2. 2nd reflection (reflect opponent's reflection) : 5.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 0.8 = 16.5 3. Sos dark attack (after subtracted) : 5.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 0.8 * 1.5 = 49.5 4. Sos physical attack : 5.5 * 4 * 0.8 * 1.5 = 26.4 Total damage : 165.525 Damage inflicted by opponent : 1. Reflection (after subtracted) : 5.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 0.8 * 0.8 = 13.2 2. Sos dark attack (after subtracted) : 6.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 1.5 * 0.8 = 58.5 3. Sos physical attack : 6.5 * 4 * 1.5 * 0.8 = 31.2 Total damage : 102.9 Case 2 : You click go button after the opponent Damage inflicted by you : 1. Reflection (after subtracted) : 6.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 1.5 * 1.5 = 54.84 2. Sos dark attack (after subtracted) : 5.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 0.8 *1.5 = 49.5 3. Sos physical attack : 5.5 * 4 * 0.8 * 1.5 = 26.4 Total damage : 130.74 Damage inflicted by opponent : 1. 1st reflection : 5.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 0.8 = 33 2. 2nd reflection (reflect your reflection) : 6.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 1.5 = 36.5625 3. Sos dark attack (after subtracted) : 6.5 * 0.5 * 15 * 0.8 * 1.5 = 58.5 4. Sos physical attack : 6.5 * 4 * 0.8 * 1.5 = 31.2 Total damage : 159.26 (opponent does more damage) Here a flash animation to make your understanding toward reflection system better. http://idb.finalhit.org/uploads/idapranu...ection.swf http://idb.finalhit.org/uploads/idapranu...ection.swf Petpet has effect in battledome as well. But it only has effect for the second person that move in that turn, thats why it doesn't have effect in 1 P battle. To see what petpet does in battledome, please visit maximus_goatimus petpage. Currently petpet is disabled. Equipments you use also have their own turn system. The first item you click will be the second item that you'll use in the battle. However, attacking items will always go first before defending items. From this fact, I give you one tested example : A use ttear and 50% n icon reflector. B use 2 10 n icon weapons. If A click ttear first then the reflector, then A will deal 10 icon to B, while if A click reflector first then ttear, A will deal nothing to B, while in both cases B deals nothing to A. Off course it's just an example, in the real battle, you might not use ttear but use shield or Downsize instead. Here, I give you another example of using click combination of Downsize! and Leaf Shield and for the ability you might want to use species ability to attack, assume an opponent does 18 damage to you, and leaf shield block 6 damage : If you click leaf shield first: 18 - 9 (from downsize) - 6 (from leaf shield) = 3 damage from opponent If you click downsize first 18 - 6 (from leaf shield) - 6 (from downsize) = 6 damage from opponent So make sure you use your reflectors carefully and click your weapon wisely in battling and tried to click the go button first before your opponent does.
