I strongly suggest that the text links are a temporary situation, so I would avoid getting to worked up about them for a little bit yet.

I really think that the links are a precursor of the images to come and what links they're going to. Like you said we'll see but I seriously have my doubts.

My sales dropped by about 40-50%...This is a terrible event in Neopets history...hopefully it's not a permanent one.

If it had not been for one particular buyer in my shop today I also fell by 50% as well on my sales. *sighs*.

My sales have pretty much tanked too.

I'm crossing my fingers that it's temporary. Over on the PPT Forums they were all complaining but not about the lack of a marketplace link, just over the fact that it's pretty ugly and hard to navigate quickly.

Maybe a bit. But I guess that it will help bring NB ads into play or something. But it seemed like they were killing malls to me for quite a while.

Yup sales plummetted 50% for friday and saturday, not sure about today =( at least I've already made back my upgrading capital, and some more =/

Yeah I can see a lot of people going for NB ads but to be honest I never found them useful at all. You could spend 350,000 on the add and probably get 400,000 back in profit over the week. That would be as the result of maybe 1,000,000 in sales? That's 1,000,000 in stocking work for 50,000 in profit. I could think of 5 games you could play each day that would do the same.

Now with the rise in mall popularity so many malls are putting up 4M ads that you might even end up on the second page. If more people decide ads are the only way to go we might see them becoming even less useful.

They didn't kill them, but they stabbed 'em with a nice shot from their Sword of Skardsen. Toungue

Anyway, I hope they're just revamping the toolbar. I never really used the marketplace, but text links are annoying. x.x
