Haven't played in a while, set advice please?

Hey guys, don't know if you remember me but I used to give lots of advice around here

Anyways, i was wondering if some of you b-dome savvy advice givers would mind critiquing my set and giving me general advice?

Pet: Royal Shoyru <no lab, no morph>
Strength: 85-boost

Level: 50
All Faerie Abilities (that count, anyway)

Set: Scarab Ring
Golden Compass
Essence of Esophagor
Honey Potion
Bow of Destiny
Greater Healing Scroll
Snowglobe Staff
Downsize!

Budget: If a decent upgrade is helped by an extra 200k, an extra 200k. (no-plot prices please )
1-p only, got sick of poison, freezers and general richy-rich people in 2-p.

I love good old meat pies (? is this still required?)

Your set actually seems about right for your boost, you know. Are you planning on training up to higher boosts or are you going to stay at 85 boost and just train endurance forever?

The only thing I can think of is awfully spendy. GHS is currently healing you less than 50% of your max hp - maybe start the slow save up for a decent healer? (and by decent I mean 50% - something that would grow with your pet)

Yeah its just that the shoyru 50% healer is millions of np

I can't think of any upgrades that don't cost millions. The thing about 1p, at least for me, is that maybe six of your weapons even matter: Two attackers, your freezer, your bomb, your healer, and some kind of defence, probably percentage rather than icon-based because you'll be fighting opponents much stonger than you. I mean, most of my fights have rounds that are some variation on these moves (not necessarily in this order):

Constant+freezer+drain life (or whatever)
Constant+bomb+berserk
Constant+constant+burrow/sink
Constant+Downsize! (or other defence item)+whatever (species ability, perhaps)
Constant (or defence item)+healer+species ability

Some challengers will require a stealer or a reflector or two, and of course you'll switch up which abilities you use depending on how many rounds you'll be going, but that's the general idea. Your icon-based defence and your tertiary attacker don't even see the light of day. So, that said, you already have decent constants and D! and the best bomb for your level, so if I were you, I'd be saving up first for a 100% freezer, and then for the Squishy Shoyru Healing Stone. Freezer first because your GHS is fine until you gain a bit more HP (and trust me, a 100% freezer makes battling SO much faster and more fun), and healer next because you will need it soon enough. Yeah, this will take a long time, but it'll be worth it to have those two things; while they may not be real necessities now, they definitely will be as you get stonger.

But aside from a 1p tourney that just ended, I haven't been battling much at all lately... so anyone can feel free to argue with me.

Yeah I know about the freezer and how important it is- it's just their price. 6mil+ is alot (well maybe not for many, but without spending hours playing games each day i don't see how i'm going to make that much). Would it be worth it to sell my BoD during this semi-inflation and continue saving to get a 100% freezer after the plot? I feel that may be the impatient route, but if a freezer is THAT important...

Do you play the stock market? All I do is the stock market and world challenges (I sell individual pieces, not the paint brush prizes), plus a bit of food club (although not much lately), and I make around two mil per month, sometimes more. The market takes almost no effort, and it's really difficult to lose money.

And that could be a good idea... BoD's price hasn't changed much in the past few years, right, while the freezers have all risen in price? I'm not sure; maybe someone else will weigh in.

I don't think selling the Bow of Destiny is a bad idea, as while it's a fine attacker, both a healer and a freezer are more important, and there's really no substitute that's decent for either. If you're going to try and add hit points, I'd put the order of importance as healer and then freezer. If you're not, then I think you can put the freezer first. As for something to toss in your set that's not all that expensive, I'd have the usual CHEAP situationals on hand, purple sticky hand, second Scarab Ring, Downsize! and Leaf Shield. You might also find a Winged Scarab to be a good item to have on hand, though they've most likely inflated a bit here. And thankfully, I don't think it's necessary to discuss pie these days!

Yeah i play the stock market 700k invested at the moment, max 5k stocks in each one. Hopefully something will happen there

I have all those in my SDB, and an Earthen Scorchstone and Shiny Shoal Shell Shield and Patched Magic Hat. So i'm going to put my bow up for sale and see how it goes. Small profit from inflation!
