RE: The Return of Dr. Sloth
I want an old fashioned, long-running, flog your pet until it maxes out - WAR!!!! Choose sides, have Neopets keep scores and post them in real time. Tell us how many points each challenger is worth, leave them up and let us take out a few years of frustration.
I'm not EXPECTING that, but that's what I WANT!
If they're going to blend in some sappy plot with a non-battledome main theme (which are the best dressed characters or some other such rubbish), with little or now battling, this is a total non-event.
And at the VERY LEAST, if they're going to stick us with another one of these sappy plots where there is limited battling, at least have the courtesy to tell us what each challenger is worth and what the maximum number of wins is. I know TNT likes all those extra page hits, but they've disappointed battledomers so consistently it would be in their best interest to save us wasted time and keep us as players than to have us spend days fighting for nothing, which always leads in another round of exits from the game.

You can pretend to care, but you can't pretend to BE THERE!

Kreludor can be a very harsh place for most visitors, and Gorix and Cylara are no exception!

Those are the same names, aren't they?

Looks like we've got a puzzle aspect to the plot.

My Digimon fanfic "Illusory Memories" is complete: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3798268/1/Illusory_Memories

The puzzle isn't individualized like plot puzzles have been the last few times, so maybe that means puzzles won't be the main focus of this plot. Maybe? Please?

Looks like we're getting an Altador-style plot, might not be any battling at all Dry

RE: The Return of Dr. Sloth
Oh I'm sure there will be some battling. A Sloth plot without battling? That's one horrible idea.

I hope the initial puzzle/s will just be bonus things for all the noobs, and war will still be the main focus.

RE: The Return of Dr. Sloth
There must be at least some token battling, mustn' it?

I think I can hear hope being crushed.

I swear, a digital time-warp ate my signature

RE: The Return of Dr. Sloth
Well I guess we can always hope the initial puzzle was just a freebie for the newbs.

I really have no interest in plot battling, unless it's clearly classified as a war, what with the battling being clearly shown in the comic, and as an important part of the plot, which is something these battleplots never have.

And I want to choose sides, too. That has always been strangely important to me...

It's way too early to tell, you guys. Even the old wars had an opening story before the actual fighting started.

Vermont Hermit, I completely agree with you. My absolute favorite site events were the two Meridell Wars, where you could basically wallop the enemies to your heart's content, and every single kill mattered.

I have a feeling this isn't going to be a full-blown war, but there's still a chance to have some meaningful battling. (Not that I'm holding out hope, mind you.)

RE: The Return of Dr. Sloth
I have a vision for the perfect plot.

Freebie opponent each wave, spider squishing to be done...
Solve a puzzle, unlock a challenger. Easy, medium, hard puzzle, with easy medium and hard challengers for the wave.

Win limit in place, stated with how many left to kill.

New wave each week. Time enough to max it out. Two comics each week. 10 comics, 4 waves + boss.
