What is the best pre-Honey Potion bomb?

I really need to get a bomb, but I can't really spare enough Neopoints for an HP yet. What do you suggest?

If I recall correctly, the era of 9 iconers has made any bombs prior to honey potion, utterly useless.

If you are just starting out however, illusens earth potion and mud mixtures are decent. Mud mixtures especially because the few hp gain with a pet that has 20 or lower hp, is helpful.

That's when advanced search comes in handy. Just punch in "single use" and "min 10 icons."

However, I shall tell you some:
Chocolate Chip Battle Biscuit, 12 icons.
Shooting Star Muffin, 15 icons.
Ornate Fighting Fan, 15 icons.

Even though they're both fractional, my 2 favorite pre-HP bombs were good ole cheap snowballs:

Snow Mudball
Sticky Snowball

But if you need to have a higher average, Fire muffin is still fairly cheap I believe.... The problem with constantly using the 15-iconers is that they'll be cutting into your Honey Potion fund over time, so save them for important battles only

No once per battles? That stinks. I guess I'll try to build up enough for an HP then.

Oh, heh. No I'm much farther along than that. I'm using NQII ten iconers currently.
