Prickly Potion? Battle Set Help
I recently heard that a Prickly Potion would be a great addition to my set for 1 player battling. Even after reading the Indepth Battle Guide, I do not understand its uses Hypnotized. Can someone help me decide on what direction I need to go. Thank you.

Current Set:
Green Scorchstone
Essence of Esophagor
Honey Potion
Golden Compass
Downsize!
Leaf Shield
Scarab Ring(2)
Cloudy Wand of Storms
Steaming Skeem Potion (for 2 player)

Situational Uses:
Winged Scarab
Scarab Medallion
Frozen Wand of Crystals
Golden Geraptiku Talisman
Sword of the Dead

Budget Roughly 1 Million Neopoints

My pet stats:
Level: 60
Health: 100 / 100
Strength: AMAZING (86)
Defence: AMAZING (80)
Move: LEGENDARY (107)
Intelligence: ULTIMATE GENIUS (112)

I want to be able to do 1 and 2 player battling.

So if I understand this correctly the prickly potion reflects the fire and dark icons back at your opponent if they are above 250 strength with their power boost?? Thank you for responding and your help.

Thank you for simplifying the prickly potion uses for me--it is more logical now and will take the set information under advisement. Great Suggestions!

RE: Prickly Potion? Battle Set Help
Get 2 Prickly potions until your STR boost is at 250, but keep your main attackers for weaker opponents than the 250 boost.

For how it works, it attacks with reflected icons, using your OPPONENTS STR boost.
Thats how I have understood it, atleast.

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why should you practice?

RE: Prickly Potion? Battle Set Help
Prickly potions are usefull if you fight 1 player opponents that are much stronger than you. =)

They attack like a normal 6-iconer, but using your opponent's strength boost. Your opponent does not need to use fire or dark to make them work. They cannot be blocked by icon-based shield or dual duties, but can be blocked by full blockers.

Upgrade your scorchstone to a greater healing scroll, it's cheaper and heals more.

For 1 player your set should look something like:

Greater Healing Scroll
Downsize!
Honey Potion
Essence of Esophagor
Golden Compass
Prickly potion x2
Snowglobe staff

And for 2 player:

Greater Healing Scroll
Downsize!
Honey Potion
Essence of Esophagor
Golden Compass
Frozen wand of crystals
Makeshift ships hammer
Steaming Skeem Potion

Golden compass trashes RSB.
The wand beats ice club, Esssence of esophagor and pike pike, and is decent against Steaming Skeem Potion.
Makeshift ships hammer wins against stone club, ice club, Psellias fighting fan, scuzzys comb and staff of rightoous fury.

With the right dual duties you should be able to beat whatever weapons your opponent uses. =)

RE: Prickly Potion? Battle Set Help
I'll let others deal with the set suggestions, but to comment on Prickly Potion: it deals 6 reflected icons that use your opponent's Strength Boost. Against a 125 Strength Boost opponent, it would be like using a 7.2 icon weapon. Against a 200 Strength Boost opponent, it would be like using a 10.8 icon weapon.

It's extremely useful for DoN and maxing out, but has little application otherwise. Depending on how much Two Player battling you do, you may want to spend your money elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're not training your Pet and have no plans to, the Prickly Potions would allow more wins in One Player than you'd ordinarily achieve.

My Digimon fanfic "Illusory Memories" is complete: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3798268/1/Illusory_Memories

"If the Spectres have resurfaced, this is no longer a game between us and the Phoenixes. We need to have humanity by the throat before the Spectres alert the humans to our presence."

One Player High Score Charts Achieved: 5 / 59 (Holding Two)
