Exclamation [split] [TeamIDB] Guild Quest! Next gq: Sunday (note time change!)
Guild Quest times are ???. Please be on time if you are attending. People who are necessary or help with pots should let us know ahead of time if they can't make it.

Prize list: http://www.sleepywood.net/forum/showthre...?t=1182168

Spaz, one of GIR/Okamoto, a sin or bowman/xbowman, a newb level level 30 or under, preferably at least level 20, and 2 others are strictly necessary to complete the quest. Having Mike, Metalwarrior, both GIR and Okamoto, Yoshi, and/or Graphite will greatly reduce pot usage in the boss battle.

People fighting the boss should make sure they bring more than enough potions so they don't run out (400 melting cheese or 800 ice cream pops and 300 mana elixirs for warriors). People not fighting should go in the spectator entrance, which is a hidden portal located on a cracked background coloumn.

Don't forget that there are warp spots in the bonus stage. If you're having trouble finding a free box, walk around pressing up. Potions in the bonus stage are only 1, not a group, so they're worthless unless time is running out.

The boss fighters use millions in pots each gq. To keep them from going bankrupt, we'll use a system. The boss fighters must keep track of the cost of the potions that they used. All people finding good drops (things other than potions) in the bonus stage must pay an equal percentage of each drop to cover the cost of the potions used in the battle. If the drops are not worth enough to cover the potion cost, the entire value of the drops goes towards the potions and the boss fighters have to foot the rest of the bill themselves. This will be calculated weekly, after all gq's for the week have been done and all prizes and costs are posted.

All prizes other than potions *must* be posted here.

I plan to have GQ's just about all day this Saturday (mastery books!!!!). I also hope we can do some Friday afternoon too. Be online then if you can, or at least be on IRC.

It shall be epic! Blizzard for teh Gargoyle, I bet he won't see it coming >:D

Ah, wait, if we find one useful to someone in the guild, should that person pay for the costs of that run?

Unless *everyone* agrees otherwise, the normal rules will be in effect, which means the person finding the book has to pay a portion of the potion costs. Since they're worth so much, it could be virtually all of the cost.

If you have a pact with someone to exchange books that you find for each other's class, you could have the person receiving the book pay the potion cost. A couple mil for a mastery book is still quite a deal.

My guess is that it's from the bonus.

RE: [split] [TeamIDB] Guild Quest! Next gq: Destination Unknown (err, wait, time)
why rules changed?

Now the prize of the week pay the run costs? I think that it still should be the prize of the run, what afford the cost of the run.

And for you too Books seekers, you dont need 40 persons doing the GQ to get the books, you could organize fast GQ by just carrying a few ppl (spaz, oka, 2 or three more boss figthers like GIR, Graph, Yoshi, Metal) and a newbie and JQuesters/Teleport/Haste/DarkSight chars til you get 6-8 ppl. This way the party will lag less, and you will be able to run once and again.

Also, maybe all channels will clogged with lot of Guilds and 4thJob'ers chars trying to get the books. If they are tradeable, there will be even non 4th job ppl trying to make profit. So, maybe a good plan, could be to have a 2nd party (or maybe just Jr Master) to able to GQ twice or more in a row without losing the channel...

RE: [split] [TeamIDB] Guild Quest! Next gq: Destination Unknown (err, wait, time)
i mean:

with actual rules:

Person A do single a GQ and get a Cape INT scroll. Nice! Profit! or at least that is what he thinks. After that run, he log off and went to sleep dreaming about profit. Later, the guild do 57238478237482378492 more runs (ok, maybe not that many, but you get the idea) and waste with pots/meso explosion/bribing other ppl more mesos than the actual cost of the scroll. And in all that 57238478237482378492 runs, the guild get no drops. So, when Person happily wake up and log on in ms, he realize that all the profit are gone, because the guild was hyperactive last night....

With what-use-to-be rules:
Person A only has to pay a % of the run where he found the scroll.

And to answer whinning ppl, i said that it would be better with less people, because not all the ppl in the guild are exped, with less ppl the run can be organized better and faster, since Door'ing 6 or 8 persons it faster than 2 dozen, til have organized who breaks which box at bonus (i doubt books drop here, it would be evil to see a Hero book drop and the hero being in the other side of the map with 3 seconds left. More if they are not tradeable)

For a "fast" run you just need:
min amount of player: 6
1 magician with max tele
1 thief with dark sight
1 hasted char (haste skill or equips, but skill is recommended to bonus map)
1 or 2 high level players to beat Ergoth and the golems.
1 ranged attacked for the gargoyle.
1 newbie/sacrifice
1 JQer for each Spear JQ

and i think than nothing else... sometime 1 player can do more than 1 task.

RE: [split] [TeamIDB] Guild Quest! Next gq: Destination Unknown (err, wait, time)
I disagree with that. Since when have we really been slowed down by having a lot of people?

Why try and help ordinary members make more profit at the expense of the boss fighters? Its alright us "useless" people making profit, but if it is at the loss of our boss fighters then it will never be fair.

We don't need to use door, what is wrong with what we have always done? People can get there on time. Usually when we wait for people they aren't within a distance that they can be doored there anyway. And it really isn't THAT far to walk from perion to the excavation site.

Oh and 6 people = bad when somebody DC's Wink

Also, whatever happened to GQ'ing for fun? Would people like me miss out just because I am not as helpful as say... a boss fighter? I don't like that idea, I like GQ'ing Sad
Well actually I guess I am still on GQNewbie, but when I am not that would be unfair on me. We are all members of this guild that should get to go on GQ Toungue
