ideal weapons for set upgrade...

hey all i just wanna know some suggestions on which weapons i should get to upgrade my battledome set

neopet: Foalx (kougra)
level: 20
health: 34
strength:37
defence:22

my battledome set:
gold handled katana(primary weapon)
leaf shield(shield)
bronze scorchstone(heal item)
Spectral forest bow
Ruby sword
blue frost cannon(freeze item)
steam jug
lightning scroll

some weapons i'm considering:
stone club
earth faerie bow
earth faerie slingshot

budget: 80k(per weapon)

stuff in my SDB:
snowball slingshot
brain tree splinters
immense rubber axe of doom
lesser healing scroll
bone sceptre
obsidian dagger
von roo dice
scroll of flamestrike
earth faerie darts

daily income: 20-25k
train through the academy(dubloons), so avg +2 stat points daily
mostly battle as 1-player(not easy finding active challenger nowadays)

can i know any good 7-9 icon weapons that fits my budget and also is better than my current set of weapons? i'm thinking of replacing my ruby sword, lightning scroll and steam jug

personally, I'd do this:

gold handled katana keep this since you already own it (8 icons, but will get pwned in 2p)
leaf shield Always useful
bronze scorchstone upgrade to blue scorchstone this will cover your healing for a while
Spectral forest bow I'd sell for the np's to add for newer weapons
blue frost cannon too low of a chance of freezing, upgrade to Snowglobe Staff

pretty much everything else you can sell off to increase your budget. when you're ready to buy, definately get Downsize! and then after that, your options are:
Stone Club and ice club are good 9-iconers for the price.
golden compass is a good choice for your foreseeable future
and if you like dual-duties, consider these:
Cloudy Wand of Storms
Frozen Wand of Crystals
Wand Of The Moon
Makeshift Ships Hammer

wahhh... but i just bought my spectral forest bow yesterday... and i have to sell it?
about the snowglobe staff... dont u think its abit too expensive for a semi fragile item? i mean, the price is the same as about 80 cheap frost cannons...
any suggestions for the scroll, ruby sword and steam jug?

get prickly potion coz it the most effective for ur strength boost for 1p

2p where's the scarab ring?
throw in the lesser healing scroll, bronze will get useless as u go along
fiery sun scroll/lightning scroll + skeletal fire gun is quite a nice combo
get a golden compass coz its the best 9 iconer
ice club/stone club is also attractive considering its price
Psellias Fighting Fan if u have more $$$
leaf shield wont serve that much purpose now but having one doesnt hurts

It's not mandatory to sell the bow, but personally I would. As for the snowglobe staff, keep in mind that it is SEMI-fragile.. That means that it will only break for the battle and in reality it's your best chance for freezing unless you're willing to buy a black frost cannon. Your blue frost cannon has about a 3% chance of freezing (which = useless), whereas the staff hovers around 20%

Also, what was wrong with the thread you made a few hours before this one? I'll leave this now, but please stick to this one; you don't need multiple advice threads in this forum.

Anyway, my advice would be to stick with the weapons you have for now (although I agree, Snowglobe Staff is a good weapon for the price, and any of the 9-iconers would be a decent little upgrade to the katana) and keep training. Just look at this:

Using your katana and stone club, you deal 17 icons. At your strength boost (and if you use fierce attack with them against a frozen opponent), this equals 30 damage. Here's how much damage those same weapons will do once you read these boosts:

35 str: 36 damage
55 str: 48 damage
85 str: 59 damage

Your level is still low enough that you can train fairly cheaply. Keep doing that, and you'll be able to beat harder 1-player opponents without having to upgrade. Worry about more weapon upgrades later.

oooh, i wanted to change the heading but i dunno how, so i created a new one, btw i didn't know double posting is against the rules, sorry... but anyway, i've trained my pet more now so the updated stats are on top... guess i'll stick to training for awhile before upgrading

but, when do you all suggest i should upgrade my weapons?? i mean like when i reach a certain STR boost or something??
