Recent changes to neopets?
So what exactly have I missed in the last year and a half? Anything really good? Anything dastardly? Its great to see some of you guys still around.

Good to see you back, Adiventure.
They changed the skin. Some clothes are now wearable. There's the NC Mall, where you can pay real money to buy clothes for your Pets. Intelligence and Agility affect some weapons now (I'm not sure if this began before you left, but it's more prevalent now). You may or may not have missed the first Altador Cup last year, which is a yearly event that takes up about one month of each year (Juneish). And... I'm not sure what else. in all shops, each row is now 5 items instead of 4....compared to 1.5 years ago, many retired items are now inflated by 500%, so FSS are somehow over 150 mil now...
Yeah I think shattered has said most of the big changes. Muhahaha? |

So mostly just a selling out in response to the viacom purchase? Any real content updates? I notice the layout is now confusing as hell.

The Viacom purchase was at least three years ago, I think, if not longer. But yeah, we're feeling continual aftershocks from that.
Wearable stuff is the only real new content. We see plots and the like on an almost consistent basis now, however. But no more wars. Everything's a "plot" now. (Haunted Woods could very easily have been a war, but no...) It's more combined nowadays. Puzzle plots with the occasional fighting, although the latter has been pushed more to the background.
New worlds have come out. The map of Neopia that you can explore is now a globe, you can turn it to find more worlds. Recurring 'game plots' like Altador Cup and AAA, the Games Master. For the rest the stuff mentioned above, especially the clothes and the 'necessary' art revamp, which is still horrible to some pets.. |

Wars are gone for sure. No sign we'll ever have one again. So yeah, it's basically gotten suckier for BDers...

Basically the old staff sold us out,I havent really been playing the past few years,but I do come on and see the bs updates they made....neo is all about money now....

I just recently picked up playing neo again every now & then to kill time, but since the new layout and everything, the pound has apparently been broken too?
As in, you can abandon a pet, but you can't adopt any from the pound at all because all you get is an error message telling you the pound is down for maintenance... ![]() I love my plushies! |
