Help me plz with Kastraliss

Hi friends!

I need help in order to beat kastraliss... i hope anyone can help me to know a strategy in order to defeat to kastraliss...

My information is:

Str : 172
Def : 174
Mov : 101

Honey Potion

I don't know how can i defeat to kastraliss... anyone can help me plz?

Firstly, he'll need to Jade on the first turn for you to win. Secondly, that Freezing Potion of his is going to pose problems. There's a good chance that if he freezes you he kills you.

That said, you have a low-odds option on your first turn of trying to freeze him with Diamond Dust while hoping he uses Jade that same turn. I'm going to base a strategy around that ~10% chance (the odds are probably lower, but probably better than 5%).


First Turn: Pirate Captains Cutlass + Downsize! + Diamond Dust (approximately 54 depending on his stance)

Second Turn: Ghostkerbomb + Pirate Captains Cutlass + Berserk (assuming 25 and 18, this will deal approximately 193 damage)

Third Turn: Pirate Captains Cutlass + Freezing Potion + Burrow (approximately 60 depending on his stance)

Fourth Turn: Pirate Captains Cutlass + Honey Potion (or a 15-icon muffin) + Berserk (approximately 144 damage)


If you can pull this off, he'll be dead. He'll have two turns that he could potentially hit you with Freezing Potion (I don't know if he use both Jade and the Potion in the same turn: if he can't, he'll only have one turn to hit you with it). The difficult part will be landing the luck of having him Jade on the first turn.

Alternatively, you could gamble. You have two turns you need to get through without him Jading or Freezing you, and since everything you're using is in your set you could make that gamble without any Neopoint loss. This route would just be a matter of whether you care about your BD record or not.

First Turn: Pirate Captains Cutlass + Freezing Potion + Burrow (deal 88 damage)
Second Turn: Ghostkerbomb + Pirate Captains Cutlass + Diamond Dust (deal 164 damage + frozen [i tried 8 times in order to get this result])
Third Turn: Pirate Captains Cutlass + Honey Potion + Berserk (deal 132 damage)
Fourth Turn: Pirate Captains Cutlass + Downsize! + Defend (deal 46 damage)

I appreciate too much your help , now, i will try to defeat to "The Drenched", some people says is more easy... it's true?

Good job.

Normally I disregard freezing a frozen opponent, because it severely cuts the damage you deal during that turn. It was very foolish to burn your Ghostkerbomb without Berserking with it (and then Berserking with Honey Potion the next turn).

Also, it's usually better to use Diamond Dust before the guaranteed freeze. That way you roll the dice first, and then play out a set strategy after the dice roll in your favor.


I'm glad to hear it all worked out, though. As for The Drenched being easier, I'm not sure, but I gave someone else advice about them a day or two ago. The thread should still be around, and the strategy could always be adapted.

I didn't list a strategy, but since you have Ghostkershield, it'll make the fight much easier.
