New And Revised Sig Rules

Although usually the only people who break the sig rule are those who don't know about it, it might be better for everyone if the rule was more black and white.

here's the official sig ruler


sigs (image or text) has a maximum of 100 px in HEIGHT and 600 in WIDTH. Animated sigs are allowed, however, in consideration to people with slow connetion, keep the file size to a minimum.

Avatar filesize* limit = 80KB.
Sig filesize* limit = 150KB (in total, including spoilered portions)

in addition to the that sig, you are allowed an additional ONE LINE OF TEXT to go under your sig (sub-sig if you will). And yes, spoilers are allowed in this area. However, again, keep in mind that although they are hidden, they are still pre-loaded and might become a hassle for dial-up users. So also keep this to a minimum.

Notice that at normal size (i.e you don't use the SIZE tag), 1 line of sig text is 10 px high. A spoiler button is about 25 px high. So we are setting the maximum to 125 px height. You can mix and match this between text and graphics but that is the absolute maximum.


Flash (.swf) sigs (and avatars) are allowed, however, absolutely no sound/music in them.

the staff reserves the right to either give you an unofficial warning, or just warn you upfront so don't rely on people checking your sig for you. please do it yourself.

The new maximum height for signatures is 125 pixels, this is due to the new spoiler button being larger than it was on the old forum... also because people tended to get leeway before anyways. But this is the max, no 126
