Honey Potion Usage and Worth as a Bomb??

I have read the IDB about the Honey Potion and understand that it is a one use bomb in the battledome--best used if your opposition is frozen. However, What if you use it when you are in Burrow--will it have less of an effect than if you use it while you are in Sink? Is this item worth the 800K or should I just stick to Muffins and Snowballs--one use items for the money??

the difference is once per battle and single use.

Single use is gone when used, permanently.
once per battle can be used, then goes away, but is back your next fight

Honey potion value is stable in and around 800K, if you get a good deal and then resell while prices are at a war high you'll even make some money.

Snowballs and muffins will just slowly cost you money. There are times you want to use a 15 icon muffin, especially if you only need to win once, but that is a special case, and can wait for another topic thread.

Now, fairy abilities, sink, burrow, drain life, and all the rest are the same damage multiplier as if you picked cautious attack.

The reason it is best used if frozen is because the icon types of the honey potion are ones that are often blocked at the level when it is used, especially by the cheep and useful leaf shield.

Another reason it is best to use your bombs when the enemy is frozen is so that you can use berserk attack without getting hit back for extra damage.

And if you figure it like this you can make a decision for yourself on its value.

Honey Potion = 800k

15 icon Muffin = 3k

800,000/3,000 = 266.667 so that'd be 267 muffins and you'd be over the price of the Honey Potion, and like was said before, even if you decide at any point you don't need the Honey Potion anymore you can always sell it and get all that money back, or even make a profit, in one use muffins your money is just gone for good.

By having a Honey Potion in your set, you are giving up about 250-300 NP of daily interest.

Thus if you battle more than once every 10-14 days, owning one is going to come out cheaper than going through single use muffins. If you battle less than once every 10-14 days, just buy muffins with the interest and enjoy your fractionally higher average damage and less predictable icon variety.

The price of muffins was at an all time low when the price was 3k. The price has already drifted back up to around 4.5-5k. While I doubt it will ever go back to the highs of 22k (a price I remember for water muffins some years back) they are likely to get more expensive since it was the shooting star muffin that caused this massive deflation. Now that they are finally being used up (or just bought up), the price will only rise.

I doubt that this will be terribly fast or severe though, there are still 4 different 15 icon muffins that restock available (Smelly Dung, Robot, Brain, Water) and three of them are R85 or lower.
