Set Help 3M Budget
Agility : 10 (speedy)
Attack Strength : 9 (quite strong) Defence Strength : 7 (below average) Current hp: 9 / 9 Level : 1 Just wondering what the best set I could get for my pet around 3M. Also I have the Lab Ray, but I was contemplating whether to use codestones or the ray. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks. |

RE: Set Help 3M Budget
I am a big fan of regular training to achieve balanced stats, others do not have a problem with less than evenly balanced ones, and have built quite good sets around that. However, if you were to start codestone training now, the very first thing you would need to do is train your level up to 5 before you could do any work on strength or defense. At this stage, I cannot see where starting with the lab would "hurt" very much. It might even be nice and bump Level for you over time.
It will help with set suggestions if we know whether you are planning 1 player, 2 player or a combination. "My wolf's bigger than your wolf, "My wolf's bigger than yours. "My wolf's bigger 'cause he gets HUMA 'N' Ration, "My wolf's bigger than yours." |

RE: Set Help 3M Budget
You may want to check out the cost of dubloons and start training at the acadamy on Krawk Island first - I think that would be a cheaper training option as codestones are pretty high priced currently.

RE: Set Help 3M Budget
Might I suggest doing both. I have trained my pet up to Lvl:73, HP:143, Str:114, Def:113. Using the lab and codestone training. Whenever I would hit a run that would put my stats unbalanced, I stop zapping for a while. Once I hit the 125 boosts I think I am going to stick to lab training, possibly a few more points to keep them from dropping when the lab gives me a bad zap.
As for weapons, what do you have so far? Here are some of my basic suggestions: Pikepike: 10 icons less than 100K Ice or stone clubs: 9 icons less than 75K a piece Black frost cannon: <450K Prickly Potion: Now this is an great weapon, and at R91 (i think) the price should continue to drop. Honey Potion: 800K Greater Healing Scroll: don't know what those are going for now. Defense: Golden Compass, Frozen wand of crystals, cloudy wand of storms are all good damage dual-duty weapons, also you will most likely want a leaf shield, check out the section on fairy abilities and get what you need for sink, burrow, a possible freeze skill and whatever you prefer. These are just some basic suggestions and by no means covers all your options, just some thoughts. PS: yeah dave is right, dubloon training should be cheaper until lvl 10 i think. |

RE: Set Help 3M Budget
Dubloons are good up to 20 also; the two-dubloon coins cost practically the same as the one-dubloon coins, if not slightly less. Up to 40, they cost about the same as codestones (but take much longer, if that matters)
For 1-player, Scuzzys Comb offers 10 icons at ~300k. Pike pike is actually a 9-iconer. |

RE: Set Help 3M Budget
You're going to do more 1p? Or 1p ONLY?
If you're just going to 1p, then Lab Ray all the way. In 1p, all you need is huge HP and STR. You don't need to defend if you've got lots of HP to hold you together. Therefore, you don't need to use neopoints for training. Furthermore, you will NOT have use of dual-duties because of their uselessness compared to what your DEF will be. With 3mil, you've got a lot of options. Right away, get a Honey Potion for 800k. Get two 10 icon constants, Scuzzys Comb, two Prickly Potions for opponents with a higher STR boost, Greater Healing Scroll when you pass the 60HP mark, and when you have the money, a Winged Scarab might do you well if you want physical defence. Oh yeah, don't bother with a %freezer unless you have HUGE patience, or you can get a 100% freezer. Then throw all the remaining money to training level to 50 for berserk attack. I just love labbing in a way. GL.
