Auto HP/MP pet pouches, a short FAQ.
A little quick guide to Auto HP/MP pet pouches for those that are considering it.
What is it? They are Cash Shop pet items (similar to a meso magnet or item pouch) for your pet. With it, you can automatically use pots without having to press an extra button. How does it work?
So...they're HP/MP pouches. Can I use elixirs? Yes, you can. They're called HP/MP pouches because HP/MP triggers the use of a potion. Are there shortcomings to this? Yes, there's a few. First off, if you use a skill that sacrifices HP, and your HP drops into the flashing zone, it will not use an HP potion. Another shortcoming is that it will only use 1 potion at a time. For example, if I have 400 HP, and set potions that heal 100 HP to be used whenever my HP drops below 300 HP, it will only use 1 potion even if my HP goes down to 50. Are these good for bosses? What about lag? I don't know, I don't lag. ![]() okamotosan18 Wrote:Lagging acts as usual with using potions. Some might be familiar with attacking while lagging, and that's where you can keep attacking if you have enough MP and the damage hits the monsters all at once if your connection catches up. If the Auto-HP/MP triggers a potion while lagging, you have to wait until MS synchs up with your connection before you can do anything again. The conclusion...is it worth it? If you're lazy and like your normal training, yes it's worth it. Don't expect it to be of significant help against bosses. And that's about as much as I know about them. If you have any questions, I can try to answer them, or something. ![]() My sig no longer requires a spoiler, yay! |

RE: Auto HP/MP pet pouches, a short FAQ.
Let's say a skill sacrifices HP, and it goes to where it flashes but won't heal. If you then get hit by an emeny, will it heal? o.o

If you get hit by an enemy and your HP doesn't go down to zero, then you heal.

RE: Auto HP/MP pet pouches, a short FAQ.
Also, environmental damage(i.e. Aqau Road/Dungeon) will trigger healing if it falls below your pre-set limit.
Lagging acts as usual with using potions. This is unlike the Meso Magnet and Item Pouch where a pet can go over as many items and mesos while lagging and it picks them all up when MS synchs up with your connection.

Updated the lag question based on Oka's experience. Updated the boss question based on today's GQ run. Added a little conclusion thing.

RE: Auto HP/MP pet pouches, a short FAQ.
So, your saying, HP/MP puuches pretty much suck, unless your training on an exactly PERFECT monster for your level, and hits a low damage, without causing you to lag. But, what about if I have two types of Hp pots on? Say, A Cheese an a Unagi. What happens then? Do I use the cheese, or the Unagi?

Auto HP/MP is good for everyday training, but not that great for bosses. Lag doesn't matter, as I figured out at boomers. Also, you have to assign the potion to be used on the equip window, it doesn't happen automatically.

RE: Auto HP/MP pet pouches, a short FAQ.
It's hard to describe, but I think those are more useful for magicians. If we neglect our HP, we die. If we neglect our MP, we die. So only worrying about running out of pots makes training much easier.
I also found the HP pouch to be useful in Ergoth. I imagine it would be effective in Zakum as well. Setting the HP pouch to trigger with regular Elixirs when you get down to just over 50% was very useful, and I didn't mind doing that with Ginger Ales since they were so cheap. So instead of constantly keeping an eye on my HP/MP bars, I only had to worry about it when I saw one of the 1/1 hits coming. Also, don't have to worry about dying from Crogs with both on. ;P It might be less useful to people who don't lag, I dunno, but I love having them for training and boss fights.
