My current weapon set.
I'm putting up my current weapon set, and a few weapons that I'm seriously considering. I was thinking that you could give me your opinions on what i should add/remove/replace.

-Downsize (50% blocker, one of the best pre-tear)
-Jittery Jipple Potion (usually 10 icons, and cheap too)
-Scarab Ring (Good, cheap dual duty, but I may have outgrown this)
-Essence of Esophagor (a good attack weapon, if I don't meet a Leaf Shield)
-Blue Scorchstone (Since I only have 24 HP, this heals me to full)
-Fire Muffin (A good, cheap one use Bomb)
-Leaf shield (Still a good defense against water and earth)
-Mystical White Cloak (Very situational, but can take a bite out of some common weapons)

Considering:
-Psellias Fighting Fan
-Golden Compass
-Earth Faerie Slingshot

Level:13
HP:24
Strength:21
Defense:21
Int:Above Average
Budget:I have 250K in the bank, but I don't want to spend it all on weapons. Try and limit it to about 150K

This is a triumph. I'm making a note here:HUGE SUCCESS!-Portal

RE: My current weapon set.
It'd be helpful to have your stats. Pure shields usually aren't a good idea: for them to be worthwhile, you need to be clipping at least half your opponent's attack (or more for you to come out truly ahead), and odds are you'll be averaging significantly lower than half their attack. Likewise, I'm inclined to say that your Essence won't have any problems if it encounters a Leaf Shield: as long as you don't throw Physical beside it, your opponent's just breaking even.

Psellias Fighting Fan gets destroyed by the Thief Dagger (I'm not sure how common it is, but given the wide-range of what it destroys at that level, people should be running it). Earth Faerie Slingshot has the same problem.

Now, I won't recommend the Golden Compass by merely the process of elimination. The simple fact is that GoC is the most powerful weapon in that range. Unless I'm mistaken, the earliest dual-duty that can beat it is Dusty Magic Broom. The only price-comparable way to beat it is to use a 10-iconer that doesn't deal Dark (which means Scuzzys Comb or Staff of Righteous Fury, and Thief Dagger beats both of them). I'm assuming your Intelligence is below 9 so that you don't need to worry about Jittery Jipple Potion (which the Compass beats) or Steaming Skeem Potion. (The SSP is better than the Jittery Jipple Potion, and though 150K isn't enough to cover both the GoC and SSP, you'll want to upgrade JJP to SSP eventually.

RE: My current weapon set.
My stats were listed before the list of weapons. And I do have to worry about JJP (SSP I'm not sure of)

Decent enough. Keep for now. As you get a better feel for 2p, this should rotate into and out of your SDB.

Quote:-Jittery Jipple Potion (usually 10 icons, and cheap too)

Solid. Possibly consider upgrading to Steaming Skeem Potion, possibly, I'm not sure what Int of opponent you usually face though.

Quote:-Scarab Ring (Good, cheap dual duty, but I may have outgrown this)

Very solid. Keep. By my reckoning, you are at least 8 million NP short of outgrowing this. Remember that Scarab Ring wins against [link=Sword of Apocalypse[/idb] and Garoo Elite Blaster, so it's worth using until you are at the point where none of your opponents are using anything as weak as an 11 iconer.

Quote:-Essence of Esophagor (a good attack weapon, if I don't meet a Leaf Shield)

A solid 9 iconer. Personally I like it a bit better as a backup weapon than as a primary constant, but more on that later.

Quote:-Blue Scorchstone (Since I only have 24 HP, this heals me to full)

Keep. This is exactly what you should have for now.

Quote:-Fire Muffin (A good, cheap one use Bomb)

This one I didn't know about until you mentioned it. Comparable to the Chocolate Chip Battle Biscuit in both price and icons, which is decent. However on a 20 boost pet with a 150k budget, blowing 1000 np is kinda pricey, so save these for tough and/or important fights.

Quote:-Leaf shield (Still a good defense against water and earth)

A very cost effective shield. Personally I found Patched Magic Hat to be somewhat more useful as I found light to be more common that water at this level of battling, so you might want to consider swapping. Maybe.

Quote:-Mystical White Cloak (Very situational, but can take a bite out of some common weapons)

In the right situation, MWC is very worthwhile, but I find it questionable at best in your current set. It is a pure shield that defends only 9 icons. You currently have 3 purely defensive items in your set. Unless you are seeing a lot of Air Faerie Crown, Golden Compass and Jittery Jipple Potion, I'd recommend selling it off.

Quote:Considering:
-Psellias Fighting Fan
-Golden Compass
-Earth Faerie Slingshot

All worth their price, and as Shattered has pointed out, the Compass is the best of them, but I'm going to present some other options

Firstly, you have no freezer. If you battle 1p at all, you should get a Snowglobe Staff for the chance to use withdraw and retreat strategies. For 2p, you may want to consider Rainbow Frost Cannon, although perhaps not at the cost of your entire bankroll. Personally I think that the Black and Rainbow Fraost Cannons are roughly on par with (or slightly better than) 10 icon weapons, so I think they are worthwhile, but others here do not.

Secondly, as you are still only 20 boost, Fighting Folder is insanely good for you at a low price. The attack is only on par with Scarab Ring, but the multihealing is well worth it against other 20 boost opponents.

Third, your set needs more offense. You want to have a viable option against an Int 5 opponent with Leaf Shield and Golden Compass. Other 7-9 icon weapons possibly worth considering (in addition to those you have already listed) include:

Earth Faerie Bow
Enchanted Wooden Bow
Gold Handled Katana
Electro Sword
Skeletal Fire Gun
Cloudy Wand of Storms
Frozen Wand of Crystals
Amulet of Inevitable Betrayal
Tyrannian Lupe Tooth
Ice Club
Stone Club
Pike Pike

"Siggy? whats the real name of the item? *sigh* im new to this whole battledome items....so, sorry! "
