If you are fighting against other 125 strength boost opponents in 2p, then ECA is really not worthwhile. The 30 point heal will basically cancel out 10 icons of damage from a 125 booster, and ECA prevents you from using a full healer or species healer, so you're giving that up for what is basically a 10 icon shield.

However, if you are fighting in NCW war III and racking up the preseason wins on the Mummy, it might be worth it, as Turn 1 ECA + Steal + Burrow followed by turn 2+ ECA + Fighting Folder + Improved Defend will outheal his average damage at the 700 boost, giving you theoretically infinite wins on any pet that has more than about 75 hit points. There are a handfull of other 1p opponents (Tax Beast) where similar multihealing strategies can work
