New Set And Upgrade
Hi everyone! Thanks in advance for some great advice.
I'm looking for some help on a new set for my new lab rat, It should be solely for 1 player, but I want the weapons I get to be useful for my two player pet as well, eg. prickly potions may be great for 1 player, but I would never use them in 2 player, so I probably wouldn't do that. I'm still saving, but keep suggestions below around 800k (plus my current weapons and the money from anything I sell. I haven't begun labbing yet (just got the map) so I guess I'll train to level 30, get burrow and sink (anything else?) them start zapping. My trained pet has 35 str and def boosts and 50hp My current weapons are: Golden Compass Essence of Esophagor(different icons) Jittery Jipple Potion Frozen Wand of Crystals(for against ice club, EoE, Pike pike)may sell Thief dagger(for against scuzzys, Staff Of Righteous Fury, fighting fan Scarab Ring (how useful is this?) Greater Healing Scroll Downsize(does this improve healing?) And I think I have a snowglobe staff lying around somewhere. I mostly want to get a couple of 10 iconers- I think I like Staff Of Righteous Fury the best- 7 past burrow without being vulnerable to Golden Compass. I was thinking this for my lab pet: Snowglobe Staff Purple Sticky Hand Downsize Essence of essophagor Essence of essophagor Staff Of Righteous Fury Staff Of Righteous Fury or Scuzzys or ramptors Greater Healing Scroll And something like this for my trained pet Thief dagger Golden Compass Jittery Jipple Potion(EoE if int. is over 9) Staff Of Righteous Fury Staff Of Righteous Fury or Scuzzys or ramptors Essence of essophagor Greater Healing Scroll ? This is only what im thinking, and if there's other weapons that would work better for me, tell me. I really just need to be sure Im on the right track. Sorry if this was a bit long! I like dual dutys, dont like pure shields. Any advice is appriciated. Edit: Also, should I train level while I zap so I can train, or just do kitchen quests? |

RE: New Set And Upgrade
I think the upgrade of your two current 9-iconers to avg 10 iconers is not worth it. At your boost thats only 2 damage or so (if you upgrade both)... so don't. both Your weapons are already decent for 1-p and 2-p. Youll get more benefit by buying yourself a Honey Potion for approx. 800k. This you can use as anti-sink, whenever your opponent has burned burrow. You'll find its great tactically, because to use this right will give you the uppder hand in many fights.
And who can forget- train up to 55 boost at least, your weapons are better then most non-noobinators at this level so get yourself up to 55 to do some more DoN/1-p's and make yourself see less noobinators in 2-p ![]() --- Edit because of your edit: If you train and like dual duties- zap only until your hp is within 6 of the next training cost bracket and then train back to even stats. Kitchen quests speed up the process, do quests that cost less than a third of the average cost of training (and more if you dont mind paying more of course )Edit2: I'd like to suggest you switch your JJP for Steaming Skeem Potion: ives you a better chance of beating ghostkershield (SSP+GoC) and because tactically JJP gets eaten by GoC alot anyway. Just keep the JJP for when you vs sombody with no intel (its cheap enough)Further Edit: Downsize! does not improve healing, it just halves the damage you take. Scarab ring is useful because it beats many better weapons head to head: From Garoo Elite Blaster, Sword of Apocalypse right down to Skeletal Fire Gun. And also, because you dont use a shield, itl allow you to reduce the damage you take so you can survive longer. Advice-giver. |

RE: New Set And Upgrade
Thanks! I'm a bit confused on healing though, does non overhealing just mean that that you heal over your max, like
If you heal 50 hp non overheal when you're 25/50 hp and you get hit for 25 damage, you'll still have 25/50hp next round If you heal 30 hp with overheal at 25/50 and get hit for 25 damage, you'll have 30/50 hp next round Or does it work different? And if you use downsize+ healing then is the healing better that what it would be otherwise? |

RE: New Set And Upgrade
To picture overheal imagine on your escenario. You start with 25/50 then you heal 30. You get temporarly an hp of 55/50.
A normal heal... you will get just 50/50 even if your healing weapons can heal much more. After the "healing move" they aplied damage. That meand tha if you receive 30 points of damage. With the overheal you will end with 25/50 and with the heal you will have 20/50 Sufriendo Utopias Undergoing Utopies Se habla espaƱol / english spoken

RE: New Set And Upgrade
Why run two Pets? Is your main Pet a specific species/color? If not, Labbing your main Pet alongside training (and K-Questing, since you're apparently doing that too, which is also more beneficial with only Pet) would be the best route. You're actually at a point where you shouldn't be labbing yet (based on cost-effectiveness), but that's too late now, I take it?
Likewise, why run two separate sets, rather than one that you can swap between your Pets? On that same note, you could run more than 8 total weapons, and just swap certain ones based on whether you're doing One Player or Two Player. The best One Player route, ignoring Prickly Potions, is dual-Scuzzys backed up by dual-Essence of Esophagor. The former aren't so useful in Two Player, but the Essences are certainly good there. Running dual-Staff of Righteous Fury instead of dual-Scuzzys strikes me as a tad odd, due to the higher cost over Scuzzys, but I suppose in Two Player it would be slightly better (Thief Dagger wouldn't be guaranteed to beat it: it would just beat it in probability). Golden Compass isn't so solid in One Player but is more-or-less a staple in Two Player. Frozen Wand of Crystals has situational Two Player use, as does the Thief Dagger. Why are you looking at Jittery Jipple Potion (as was said, Steaming Skeem Potion is better) when you already said you wanted your weapons to be effective in both One and Two Player? Or did I misunderstand you? The Prickly Potions are that good in One Player, so even if you're going to disregard them for now, keep them in mind for the long-term. My Digimon fanfic "Illusory Memories" is complete: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3798268/1/Illusory_Memories "If the Spectres have resurfaced, this is no longer a game between us and the Phoenixes. We need to have humanity by the throat before the Spectres alert the humans to our presence." One Player High Score Charts Achieved: 5 / 59 (Holding Two) |

RE: New Set And Upgrade
Thanks Raxiel for clearing that up
![]() The reason I made two pets was so I could lab one to 85+ boosts and have one at a lower level. I didn't want my 2 player pets stats to get too high because i'm pretty sure 85+ boost pets have MUCH better sets than mine Now I see it wasn't one of my best ideas, and that prickly potions ARE amazing (I never really got how they worked till now ) Also, I haven't completed the lab map, 6/9 pieces. I plan to sell them. I also plan to:Dump the '1 player pet' Train to the 55 str and def boost Then Get: Greater Healing Scroll (Already Have) Downsize! (Already Have) Honey Potion (Current Goal) Staff of rightous Fury (Still like it Get after HP)Golden Compass (Already Have) For 2 player: Frozen Wand of crystals (Already Have) Thief Dagger (Already Have) Streaming Skeem Potion (Get after 1st prickly potion) OR Jittery Jipple Potion if int. is >19 OR Scarab Ring If Int. is >9 For 1 pl Prickly Potion 1 (get after SoRF) Pricly Potion 2 (get after streaming Skeem Potion Snowglobe Staff (Already have) Things to dump: EoE, too expensive for something I won't use much
