bd set rating(mine) and more

HI, i am new to the site, used it often, i have 2 q's.. for a low end competitor, is this an ok set? (i am yakking)
Scarab Ring,Leaf Shield,Golden Geraptiku Talisman,Earthen Scorchstone,Obsidian Dagger,Mud Mixture,Dirty Snow,Icy Eye Snowball (any one-use bomb under 1k, including some gold battlecards)
Any suggestions? my budget is 20-30k.
also, i need to beat my firend, but he has a really good combo that he got cheap. cursed Elixir and Jittery jipple... really good combo for my end of the bd. i got the scorchstone to block it, but it isn't enough... i NEED to beat him... advice? i have 12 health.....

You missed Slime Potion !!! If he can do over 12 damage per round , buy Blue scorchstone instead
Also , buy the Jittery Jipple Potion would be good to match the damage .
Ask your friend to unequip his cursed elixir otherwise you can beat him forever even you do what I suggested .

isn't earthen beter than blu?????
i can't afford jittery jip, and he won't unequip the elixir. normally i wouldn't battle him, but at my range of the bd, it is so rare to find someone that isn't a creampuff but not a noobinator..

Dump your Golden Geraptiku Talisman to replace it with JJP (or dump Dirty Snow as well to equip 2)

Earthen Scorchstone is a 4.5 Air, 4.5 Dark blocker. Blue Scorchstone heals 30hp. Totally different. Slime Potion is slightly cheaper, healing 10hp for ~1k+.

My advice is to keep the bomb, switch out Dirty Snow for another Scarab Ring/Healer, and Golden Geraptiku Talisman for Downsize! Overall fine for 1p/2p.

First turn should be Downsize! + Healer to nullify Cursed Elixir. If the Elixir comes out next turn instead, use Mud Mixture then, with Earthen Scorchstone. Once the elixir is out of the way, unless he has an Everlasting Crystal Apple or something in that league, spam Earthen Scorchstone + Scarab Ring.

you COULD donate all your intelligence by going onto battledome neoboards and letting sombody with scroll potion hit you multiple times, hence rending his JJP a 6 iconer, which you can counter with scarab ring/bone sceptre. nullify theh elixir with the cheap slime potion or lesser healing scroll and maybe get a fighting folder to beat him. mud mixture works well too.
