Windows Vista Problem

Windows Vista Problem
I am using Vista now and I suddenly find a big problem.

Whether I try to execute a game made by GameMaker, the mouse would be "loading mode" for a few seconds and then nothing happens. Not even an error message.

I have tried many games and none of them are working. So I wonder if anyone has the same problem or the solution of this problem.

Thanks.

RE: Windows Vista Problem
Have you tried running it in XP compatability mode?

Yes but the result is the same.

PS:I have also tried running it as admin but still no luck

RE: Windows Vista Problem
I think the first mistake you made was installing Vista. ;p

If you still have your copy of XP, if you have one at all, revert back to it and wait for M$ to clean up Vista.

RE: Windows Vista Problem
I have to disagree with that, I've had Vista for over 3 months with no error like mentioned... sorry but because I of that I have no idea what to do, anson.
But for the most part, it's been really surprising how much is compatible with Vista... as nothing hasn't been so far!

RE: Windows Vista Problem
Anson I would maybe try to find a vista patch for this program. It might not be compatible and there are patches online for everything these days.

wth XD. Fine by me then. just dont go around crying when it breaks apart in the most miserable way possible Wink

SuperBenMod: Your other post was not helpful in any way. It didn't tell him how to fix his problem. It just said it was junk. This post also isn't helpful.

RE: Windows Vista Problem
I know nothing about Vista, other than that I won't be buying it, but have you tried asking about this on game maker forums, such as

http://gmc.yoyogames.com/

?

They may be more familiar with this bug. Listing which version of Vista and what hardware you're using may also help.

"Siggy? whats the real name of the item? *sigh* im new to this whole battledome items....so, sorry! "

If you hadnt noticed, there is also a secondary conversation on this board. Therefore, my posts are NOT spam. The same goes for the second post. It is a KNOWN fact that Vista causes many problems that are not apparent in the older Windows XP SP2. Therefore, the posts suggest that reverting back to the older operating system might remedy the problem.  But then of course, what would you know about it? After all, you marked my posts are spam Wink
Let me guess. now you're going to suspend or perhaps IP ban me? Here's a little tip: Dont waste your time doing it Wink

Graph: You never said it yourself. Nates said it. You just said Vista sucks. Nates suggested installing XP again. You did not. You didn't contribute anything to the thread. I'm sure anson got nothing out of it. Btw, lulz teh double post. Also, banning isn't a waste of time, it's two clicks, oh snap.
