Need some advice for Battling Moach
So I've kicked his butt about 25 times so far, and I'm quickly getting maxed out.

Here are my stats.
Level : 74

Health : 160 / 160
Mood : delighted!
Hunger : bloated
Strength : ULTIMATE (159)
Defence : ULTIMATE (160)
Move : ULTIMATE (163)
Intelligence : ULTIMATE GENIUS (476)

My BD set includes the following.

Downsize!
Ramtors Spellbook
Earthen Scorchstone
Greater Healing Scroll
Leaf Shield
Golden Peophin Harp
Scuzzys Comb
Honey Potion

I'm wondering, what would be an effective and cost-effective defense item to use while battling the Monsterous Moach? Moach currently has 288 Hp.

Any and all advice is welcome.
I'm currently working on getting my pet's intelligence to 500 so I can get a Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic to replace my GHS. Smile

Defense? I personally think that defense isn't needed against this opponent. But if you really want, I'd say Patched Magic Hat. Blocks the earth, light and physical it does which are the icons it mainly focuses on.

I'm not a fan of non-100% freezers or dual-duties.

Well you could always do what i done if you have some spare cash and need a win(seeing as im weak)
1. Freeze and Burrow/sink
2. Dual Stone Muffins and berserk
3. Anything you can whilst making sure not to die.

Well that is if you need a win, but it's not cost effective as i think Stone Muffins have inflated due to the war. Fortunatly i bought before the war.
His weapons consist mostly of Earth, Physical and Air icons, but there are few sheilds which defend those icons to a good standard whilst being cheap. But a patched magic hat, like Wilt said is the better idea, sacrificing air for light, which is his fourth most common icon. If you can't fork out for one, keep the leaf sheild instead.

I...STONE!

Congrats, you're battling a 200-250 Str boost opponent with only the 125 def boost. Can you say "icon based defense is insufficient". good, I knew you could.

Thus, aside from Downsize! and the faerie ability burrow, your cheap options are all single-use or fragile:

Potion of Concealment
Shovel Plus
Using either of those in conjunction with Sink is good

Thick Smoke Bomb
Ultranova (for the healing)
Jade Elixir (for the healing)

If you have NP to spend on more permanent solutions, then you'll want a full earth blocker such as Ilusens Silver Shield, Pirate Captains Hat, Shield of Pion Troect, or Greater Staff of the Earth Faerie

And you'll also want a full physical blocker, such as Winged Scarab, or the Yooyu weaponry.

"Siggy? whats the real name of the item? *sigh* im new to this whole battledome items....so, sorry! "

Winged scarab works wonders. Almost all his weapons deal some physical, and even the two icons x defense boost multiplier that gets through is less than two full icons at his boost would be. It also stops bits of his air attack, while attacking. Absolutely wonderful weapon for him.

A shovel plus is the main thing that brought me to the 21 wins I'm maxed at now (And you've got 48 Hp, a str boost and two defense boosts on me). besides the fact that it blocks, it also deals damage at his own boost, which is Spectacular.

If you get really desperate to pull more wins, then Jade Elixir gives you 110 more Hp worth of healing than does your GHS, for a reasonable, if inflated price.

Good luck with your extra wins.
