Weapons Upgrade?
Hello everyone, I'm new to this board. I have only realized there was a forum that existed a week ago when I was looking through IDB for some information. First time poster, long time user Smile I have a issue concerning what kind of weapons upgrade I should get, so I came here to some expert advice. Currently I have:

Downsize!
Iron Lupe Sword
Honey Potion
Ramtors Spellbook
Blue Scorchstone
Pike Pike (Recently upgraded for Iron Lupe Sword)

The type of battling I'm doing is strictly for 1-player only, I don't plan to do 2-players at all. I was wondering if weapons would make a difference between those two.

Current Stats:

Level : 32
Health : 54 / 54
Strength : EXCELLENT (50)
Defence : EXCELLENT (49)
Move : GREAT (27)

Budget range can be from moderate to the best. Thank you for your help in this.

RE: Weapons Upgrade?
So, since youre new, welcome.
First, train attack and defense to boost 55, and train health until you get 64.
Then, the weapons.
Downsize!
Iron Lupe Sword
Honey Potion
Ramtors Spellbook
Blue Scorchstone
Pike Pike

You should change your Ramtors Spellbook for 2 Scuzzys Comb since in 1p icons dont mathers. Sell too the Iron Lupe Sword (too weak for you now), Pike Pike (for not overload in Light), and Blue Scorchstone (too low healing for you).
With the money left get 2 Essence of Esophagor as a back up weapon if the challenger defends much light, a Black Frost Cannon , a Scarab Ring , a Leaf Shield and a Greater Healing Scroll .
And then you have:
Scarab Ring
2x Scuzzys Comb /Essence of Esophagor
Honey Potion
Black Frost Cannon
Greater Healing Scroll
Downsize!
Leaf Shield

What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay! So long and goodnight, So long and goodnight!

RE: Weapons Upgrade?
I would actually recommend the Blue Scorchstone rather than the Greater Healing Scroll...It's because it heals after damage...but unless you heal other than when you have low amounts of hp, then get the cheaper one.

RE: Weapons Upgrade?
GHS is better than the Blue SS as soon as you have more than 30 damage on you...

Blue Scorchstone

One-player means your aiming for icon quantity and damage, not icon types.

Iron Lupe Sword is obsolete, you can get more icons cheaper.
Ramtors Spellbook is an ICON upgrade from Scuzzys Comb. Your one-player, so scuzzys comb is cheaper and allows you to put more np towards other parts of your set. Pike Pike is an ICON upgrade from Ice Club (the cheapest 9-iconer).

Blue scorchstone is obsolete at your HP. Get a Greater Healing Scroll. Heal when you have over 30hp lost and it is better than Blue Scorchstone (granted you cant use it first turn).

Honey Potion and Downsize! are always useful. Some other things you could add to your set that are generally useful include a Purple Sticky Hand and freezer, such as Snowglobe Staff (which is cheaper than black frost cannon but has only a 2% less chance of freezing and you can withdraw if it breaks- money saver).

Hence your set:
Scuzzys Comb x2
9-iconer x2 (Above mentioned Essence of Esophagor, or Ice Clubs to save money even though there is a bit of physical icon overlap- physical is generally okay vs 1-p opponents)
Snowglobe Staff
Purple Sticky Hand
Honey Potion
Downsize!

If you do not have the faerie abilities Burrow (earth), Sink (dark), Drain Life (gotten with sink), Regeneration (water) (which also gives the useful quench and water breathing/steam shield (water)), get them now while your levels above 30 Smile. Sink, burrow and Drain Life are especially useful vs one-p opponents (regen is for when you have 1/3 of the HP then the opponent has left, the other 100% blockers are useful at other times)

Upgrades include Sword of Apocalypse, Staff of Righteous Fury, TCG Blasters (goo blaster is cheapest 11-iconer) and then Bow of Destiny (cheapest 13-iconer)

Advice-giver.

RE: Weapons Upgrade?
Thanks guys for the valuable inputs Smile I was wondering (rylix) if I should subsitute one of the offensive for a shield just like shadownight mentioned? Maybe the leaf shield and/or a different shield for other block type icons?
