Advice please
I've made a few of these topics before because I like other opinions. So here is my info:
I currently have 283,020 on hand, 91,000 paid in stocks(which are all in red which gives me -25.27%). As for that, I have a little bit invested in items I thought would sell well(one time freezes and healers, and varies shields, all things sold could be 200k or more Smile but I am holding off on some)

Now the stats:
Species : Lupe
Colour : Blue
Gender : Male
Age : 2058 days
Level : 39

Health : 75 / 75
Mood : delighted!
Hunger : bloated
Strength : AWESOME (79)
Defence : EXCELLENT (55)
Move : GREAT (22)

And the set:
Downsize!
Leaf Shield
Scarab Ring
Black Frost Cannon
Greater Healing Scroll
Stone Club
Scuzzys Comb
Earthen Scorchstone

What should I change? What should I upgrade next? Mind you I bought a scuzzys when they were 900k so...I've had it a while. I am working towards an 85 attack boost, then a 55. I may end up labbing and screwing defence altogether. Thanks in advance.

RE: Advice please
Don't lab just yet. Get your stats equal before labbing. Hm...

Just wondering, how can you work boosts backwards?

Anyway, I think you should ditch the Black Frost Cannon for an Ancient Lupe Wand, since it's 100%, though fragile. That will give you more money to use. If you don't mind me asking, what type of battling do you normally do, 1-player, 2-player or both?

I'm not a fan of non-100% freezers or dual-duties.

RE: Advice please
I'd stick with the Black Frost Cannon IF you battle 1-player mostly. The Ancient Lupe Wand is to be reserved for 2-player and important battles.

But Wilt asked the all important question. 1-player or 2-player? It's gonna affect the weapons we advice.

Oh, I guess I messed up. I meant go for 85 str boost then work my 55 def up to 85 after I have 85 str. However I don't know if I should. In two levels I will be at level 41 and training will cost me 3 codestones instead of 2, so it will set me back but I want the 85 str boost soon. I have an ALW and a freezing scroll(prolly sell the scroll for about 100k?). As of now, I do both 1 and 2p. I usually go on hiatus untill wars so I am really 1p focused. I do 2p sometimes with my guild but its not a priority. 1-p first, 2-p if someone challenges or something.

RE: Advice please
but a Jittery Jipple Potion for 2-p. Its cheap (<30k?) and is a great addition (second 10-iconer) for your occasional two-player battles. I choose it over steaming skeem because there are MANY more pets that are hit with 10 icons by JJP than SSP.

I think your #1 priority is training. However, getting a Honey Potion might give you the edge in higher end 1-p fights (big boost especially when your level 50 with berserk for freeze bombing)

RE: Advice please
Do you suggest training defence? I stopped training to wait for advice and soon it will hard to go back if i screw up my defence and levels.

RE: Advice please
It really depends on your balance of one-player to two-player and whether you will reach the ghostkershield level, in my oppinion. If your not going to get that high (250+ ish?) then there isnt much point in training defense. It does pay off in the long run, its useful for dual duties in 2-player, but otherwise it would make you slower in training (because dual duties don't help much in 1-player due to your fighting opponents with higher boosts than yours often)

Keep in mind if you stop training defense its hard to turn back Wink

RE: Advice please
See, if I wasn't going to train def, I would save up for a lab ray, right? I can maybe get a lab ifI gather up everything, are they still 450k? I also picked up a JJP for 29.5k.

Nothing with training defence AND getting the lab map to lab your pet at the same time. I believe someone did some calculations to find out the cost effectiveness of this type of training as oppose to just training to balance your stats through codestone alone. It's gonna save you alot on health training, so all you need to concentrate on is keeping your levels, defence, and to a lesser extent, strength.

As to the points about defence, it is is still a debatable issue. Many school of thoughts say that defence is important, but an equal number of views don't share that that thought.

I say: What is your aim with your pet's stats? Isit to be one of teh higher level pets who's training is limited to Neggs and the Secret Ninja School? If you say yes to this, then forget about defence. Eventually there will be little defensive weapons that is useful for your case, as reflectors and full blockers becomes the more sought after option.

But if you are looking to stay within the mid range, then defence training is a good idea. You will have a wider scope of choice of weapon that you can combine to combo, making your game more unpredictable, more strategic and more fun.

That being said, this is what I will suggest for your set:

Your pet is still well balanced for now, so dual duties and shields are good to have. But having more than 2-shields is an overkill, especially in 2-player. You are limiting yourself to what you can attack with.

So...

To keep:

Downsize!
Scarab Ring
Black Frost Cannon
Greater Healing Scroll
Stone Club
Scuzzys Comb

To consider replacing. You don't need more than two shields:
Leaf Shield
Earthen Scorchstone

To consider purchase:
Patched Magic Hat
Frozen Wand of Crystals
Golden Compass
Purple Sticky Hand

That's all for now. I might add on later, depending on what your decision is and the progress of your purchases Smile

RE: Advice please
I like your suggestion of labbing with codestone training. Should I get berserking now since the lab can make my level go down to zero in one shot? Right now a complete lab is 700k, which is a lot more than it used to be :/

RE: Advice please
it is rare for somebody to go "down to level one" above something like level 30. You should be fine.

Weigh the cost of 700k with how much it will cost you to train to x stats. If you plan on going ahead of those stats, then lab ray is useful (apart from it being able to give you coloured pets...). If you plan on staying under 700k worth of stats the lab ray isn't really useful to you in a battling sense
