Hello and queries
Hello everyone *waves confusedly*.

I'm Thewackykid. My neopets username is also this one. My one and only pet is a blue Lupe called Varryen. While I've been on Neopets for more than 5 years, I've only recently started to be interested in the Battledome. On this note, could I ask a few questions?

1. Can anyone tell me what difficulty is? For example, Ravenous Monster has 15 difficulty. Does it have anything to do with the amount of hp the opponent has?

2. How do I increase the maximum hp level of my pet? Besides the Faerie Quests, that is

3. What is a war? The boards are going on about the lack of opponents meaning a beginning of war, but I don't understand it. I know that obviously we're supposed to run to the Battledome to fight those opponents there, but is there anything else to it that I should know? Besides the no stealing rule. I noticed the price inflation...

4. What is a strength boost? Is it something about if you defeat an opponent, they give you a stats boost?

Current profile:
Level: 17
HP: 15 Sad
Strength : GREAT (24)
Defence : GREAT (23)
Move : lightning
Intelligence : average

I've never done a day's training before, but I will if necessary. I've got enough money and willing to spend it on weapons (better than rotting in the bank), I collect faeries, codestones and dubloons too.

Thank you!

RE: Hello and queries
Hello, welcome to the forums. Smile

1. Difficulty is how hard the opponent is. For example, a 200 difficulty opponent is harder to beat than a 15 opponent one. They usually start with more HP, do more damage, etc.

2. Besides Faerie Quests, you can use the school on Krawk Island, the school on Mystery Island, use the Lab Ray, or do Kitchen quests. THe last two options are random, however.

3. Well, a war is usually when there is a series of opponents in the battledome for a specific amount of time, usually coming in progressively harder difficulties. It's usually accompanied by a plot. However, TNT hasn't made a good war since Battle for Meridell several years ago, as they tend to favor weaker players to make it more "fair" for them (but it really isn't, but I won't get into that.)

4. Strength boosts are a range of stats. For example, there is 20-34, 35-54, 55-84, and 85-124. They are usually called from the beginning point, such as the 20 boost, the 35 boost, etc. No matter what your strength is, as long as it is in that range, each icon you do in the battledome does a set amount of damage. You can only increase that damage when your strength gets into the next boost. If you want to play around with how much damage is done at what range, you should check out our damage calculator, located here: http://idb.finalhit.org/?searchtype=page&page=bdcalc

You can use that for this: Wave.

Dunno how to make it confused, though. Hit it with a brick, perhaps? Rotfl

Anyway, welcome! You can call me CadaverGrey, CG, Cadaver, Cad, Cragey Vader, Daddy, Typo King, or Moron. Heck, you can call me whatever you want as long as it doesn't get you into trouble with the rest of the 299 Spartans behind me... Cool

These forums and this site are quite handy and helpful and always feel free to ask away!
There is a wealth of information on the following page:
http://idb.finalhit.org/?searchtype=page&page=articles
And an article more specifically on strength (and defence boosts) listed there. Smile

"the school on Krawk Island, the school on Mystery Island"

I checked, but I didn't find any hp-increasing courses there?

Thanks everyone!

RE: Hello and queries
Endurance in the training school is the same as Hit Points on your pet's quick reference.
