Help me rethink my 2P pet..

The pet I made for 2P battling, I'm starting to have second thoughts about. I made a kacheek thinking I'd use a KLP, but then I thought that was dumb, so I morphed it into a kau for the resistance. Then I thought that was dumb, so I remorphed it into a kacheek and haven't been able to decide on a decent species since. I'm looking for a compromise between a good species attack, good resistance and good weapons.. I know I can't have all of that in one, but closest to.

Also, I was originally going to make a 20 boost tank, for guild boost wars and such, but since most guilds are reverting to league wars, that won't be much use, will it?

Current Stats / Original Goal

Str: 25 / 21
Def: 44 / 85
HP: 44 / ~85

So, I suppose my questions are:

1. Good species compromise between resistance, weapons, and good species attack?
2. League or Boost tank for guild wars?
3. ^^ Stats for it?

Personally, I feel that the kacheek species are great bd pets. Also, since I'm pretty new to battling, my opinion may not be good, but I feel that a league pet is better than boost tanks for guild wars. And I think 125 str and def boost, with 200-250 hp is pretty good. This is my personal opinion though and it may not be the best since I'm quite new.. (I think its a lousy opinion haha..)

Tanks are foolish all around. The NWC will be fixing their calculator, and if they have half a brain they'll do it so tanks can't abuse the system anymore.

Go for the KLP, yes it matters that much. Set a goal, whether it be 125 or 85, and then train your pets HP to the HP max for that codestone level. Don't go beyond, however, in case you decide later you want to train it some more.
