Major League Baseball
Your team sucking? (Phillies for example Toungue) Come rant about it here!

Your team Pwning? (ie. Giants :peaceSmile Come gloat here!

Anyway, my Giants are doing GREAT right now. On a 8 game win-streak (after a rocky season start). I'm somewhat amazed. Our roster is ridiculously OLD, but they're producing Question

RE: Major League Baseball
I have one your team sucking and one your team's just one of the 32 others. Let me explain.

I live in washington D.C. , but I've always been a big fan of the orioles. So I'm gonna talk about both.
Washington is quickly destorying anyone's hope here of having a good baseball team within the next 10/20 years.
The whole team sucks. And that makes us washingtonians quite mad. And when washingtonians get mad, bad things happen to 31 baseball teams.
Baltimores alright, I guess. They have a tough schedule, but they caught on fire at the beginning(partially due to Melvin Mora).
So that's my report from here in D.C. and Baltimore. We'll see you next time on The B DC Report!

RE: Major League Baseball
Hey. whats everyone opinion on the recent Roger Clemens signing? I think it's a bit ridiculous.. 28M for only ONE year? Heck, not even one year, only half a year....

I don't even think Clemens is THAT good of a pitcher. He wouldn't even be worth this much 5 years ago!

RE: Major League Baseball
Quality pitching is tough to come by, and with just about every Yankee pitcher on the DL, Steinbrenner kind of had to make a move, and in paying him so much will make Clemens come back as quickly as possible. Hopefully the Yanks lose in the first round again so I can laugh at them.

RE: Major League Baseball
Personally I think Clemons is a Grade A JERK - but he can pitch, and his agent is SMART.   Clemens, at his age, probably can't go a full season without either getting injured or developing arm problems.   So this is his second "short season", and the timing is great.   Steinbrenner, has a short attention span, the Yankees stumble, he gets paniced and overpays Clemens who probably was planning on coming back anyways, but gets an extra 6-8 million by picking the right time.   He's been an excellent pitcher, though he tends to be "wild inside" a bit too often, and I think he's lucky he's stayed in American League where he doesn't have to bat after his "accidental" throws at batters.   As a  Mets fan, I'm glad to see the Yankees investing in ancient pitchers for a half season and overpaying for them.

Woah, wait, you refer to Washington, D.C. as just plain "Washington"?

...

People like you are the reason most of America doesn't link a name to the state above Oregon. Washington is not the name of the US capital, it's the name of a US state.

RE: Major League Baseball
Both of my teams are going good. Indians will pass the Tigers tonight with their win and the Tigers losing both games of their double header with the Red Sox. Dance Unfortuately, the Tigers are my other team Laugh If the Yankees keep doing bad, they might both make the playoffs this year.
And oh yeah Chomik>:ninja:

RE: Major League Baseball
Cleveland and Detroit BOTH look good thus far in the DH League. The Yankees look like they're going to boost the stock of pharmaceutical firms that make blood pressure medicine as Stinebrenner must be doubling his doses lately. I don't think he likes his team being the second best in New York.
