RSB - Regarding Future
OK, Should I sell my RSB now (I don't REALLY need the money, but I am not using RSB and won't be for a while) and then buy it back in a couple of months. I guess I am asking will the prices inflate or deflate?

RE: RSB - Regarding Future
Depends on what TNT releases.
But a general rule of thumb....EVERYTHING (98%) inflates over time. Just depends on the amount of time you are talking about. Couple of months?...probably gonna be about the same...unless Guild wars or some other site wide event happens |

RE: RSB - Regarding Future
Sell only if you plan on upgrading to a better weapon.

RE: RSB - Regarding Future
I would not recomend selling weapons unless you no longer plan on using them. While the NQII weapons have been deflating sience they came out, (maybe I should have sold my spell book when I got it THEN for 2 mil, *lol*... not to mention the armour polish for 500K.), The price is stablizing, and the 13-icon Insane weapons have actually gone UP a couple hundred K recently... (yes, I know, you can only get those once per person, as opposed to as many times as you have patience for on the Evil weapons, but...)
Anyways, the point is while some weapons DO deflate in the long run, selling ANYTHING in hopes of buying it back later for less is a gamble, something I would not recomend you do with your BD set. RE: RSB - Regarding Future
RSB and scuzzys comb have been deflating a lot latley. Considering JJP/SSP for 2p I am thinking that RSB will slowly deflate, since it is primarily a 2p weapon that just got outclassed in many situations. Scuzzys comb is almost always better in 1p.

RE: RSB - Regarding Future
My recommendation is to hang on to it until the next war, *ahem*, "plot-related battling" and sell it then as the prices spike.
"Siggy? whats the real name of the item? *sigh* im new to this whole battledome items....so, sorry! " |

The majority of items on the site have a tendency towards deflation until their method of entry into the economy is removed or hampered in some way. With the exception of a war (I'm not sure whether I give credit to Guild Wars and the like causing inflation), weapons will deflate unless there's nothing else to fill the gap of that weapon (ie, WoR/BoD, which could both easily be selling for more than they are right now). thesovereign Wrote:RSB and scuzzys comb have been deflating a lot latley. Scuzzys comb is almost always better in 1p.I second that. TNT is making powerful weapons too available in Two Player (and prior to this, with the nine-iconers, in general), which has caused the deflation of the NQII weapons in the first place. As far as two months go... there probably wouldn't be enough of a price difference to justify the sale. If it still fits in your set, and you don't have a use (necessity isn't always a requirement) for the money, there's no real reason to sell. My personal wager is that ToW was our war, and that we won't see one for a while (if ever), but that there's more money to be lost than gained on the chance that TNT hints at or completely kicks off a war before you rebuy. With the exception of a war (I'm not sure whether I give credit to Guild Wars and the like causing inflation), I point out the second sentence in my quote..."Just depends on the amount of time you are talking about." Over enough time, we all know that items get retired etc...(not saying all retired items go up in price) But over enough time the values of the majority of items will be effected in some form or fashion. I would also like to comment that a month or so ago when their where numerous tourney going on (munsterpoos being one of them) and some Guild Wars all at the same time, the price of alot of items increased. One in particular I know for sure because I was just about to buy and the price spiked 3-500K. (RotL) |
