Smile Seeking your wise knowledge!
Species: pteri

Health : 35 / 35
Strength : GREAT (35)
Defence : GREAT (32)

Weapons:
Blue Scorchstone
Downsize!
Sword of the Dead/ jittery jipple potion
Scarab Ring
Leaf Shield/patched magic hat
Jittery Jipple potion/ Purple sticky hand/ patched magic hat
Golden Compass
Snowglobe Staff

SDB:
Flaming over gloves
Purple sticky hand

I do both 2p and 1p and my budget is around 200k, I earn around 8k daily(and many more ks on a good restocking day) so I will still have roughly 5k left after buying dubloons so don't worry about my training.

I'm thinking of buying an Etheral sword to replace my SotD but I am not sure whether that's the right thing to do at the moment so do you suggest me buying it or do you suggest me saving up and buying for another weapon?

Edit: Sorry, I know it's my 2nd weapon advice thread (maybe 3rd) during my short time here...

RE: Seeking your wise knowledge!
Get a ice club. You need another 9-icnoer, and Ice club is as cheap as they come Smile Besides that, TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN!

I like your Gun, havn't seen that often and its a compliment to my mono-icon viability thread Smile. You need to keep in mind that people can block golden compass can block the fire gun- so you pretty much need to decide one or the other. GC is a wonder-weapon, so replace the gun with a ice/stone club (as obi said) with the funds from the gun.

Your set is fine, especially if you continue to train str/def evenly. Get a greater healing scroll as your hp gets to 55+.

But your main goal is the 55 boost. Your weapons are more than fine until you get to that level.

Advice-giver.

You've got a nice beginning set so far. I'd suggest that you pick up a Steaming Skeem Potion which is very cheap for what it does (8 icons in 1p and 8 or 11 icons in 2p, theyre still trying to work out the details on 2p though) and drop the gun. If you want to wait for the details to come out on SS-Pot, get a Ice Club which will do a constant 9 icons regardless of the situation.

Personally I'd say bad move. Ethereal Sword is a waste of money in my eyes when you've got a perfectly capable and better Sword of the Dead. Although the e-sword does all air icons, 2 more air isn't going to make a huge difference in a battle compared to 3 air and 3 dark. Also the SotD gets 3 through both burrow and sink whereas e-sword gets 5 through sink and none through burrow.

Your healer is good for now, once you hit around 60-70 HP, upgrading to a Greater Healing Scroll like Rylix said would be ideal. One you hit 125+ hp, consider changing species for more effective healing likeElephante Unguent, Gelert Helaing Remedy, or Kacheek Life Potion. If you're sticking with Pteri, a Short Sleeved Yellow Tunic is your best option, though it is at a higher price (plus upgrading your intel to 500 is a hassle and a bit pricey as well).

Keep training, you're doing good so far

Personally I'd say bad move.  Ethereal Sword is a waste of money in my eyes when you've got a perfectly capable and better Sword of the Dead.  Although the e-sword does all air icons, 2 more air isn't going to make a huge difference in a battle compared to 3 air and 3 dark.  Also the SotD gets 3 through both burrow and sink whereas e-sword gets 5 through sink and none through burrow.

I disagree. In a battle, it isn't just burrow you have to consider. You have to think about what your opponents weapons are as well. There are PLENTY of dark defensive dual duties out there. Golden Compass and Tooth of Terask is just naming 2 of them. While burrow and sink can only be used once, the weapons I mentioned can be used many times over, and it completely nullifies the dark attack in Sword of the Dead, leaving you with only 2.65 icons in your attack.

I would suggest that, if you are really afraid of burrow, then pair it up with an ANTI-burrow. For just a bit more than your budget, consider a Scuzzys Comb, which is a 10-iconer.

Other than that, I think your set is fine. Keep training and good luck!

Thanks lots for your replies!
I could not wait so I bought myself a Jittery Jipple Potion (but it's almost similar to SSP I think) and I also bought a patched magic hat yesterdayToungue but since none of you think that I should get a patched magic hat, I think I'm going to resell it back and I followed one of the poster's advice and sold my SFG.

Which one do you all think is better,Scuzzys comb or Staff of righteousness?

RE: Seeking your wise knowledge!
The reason why we never mentioned the Patched Magic Hat is because, looking at your set, you don't really need it. Sword of the Dead (when you still had it) already covers your light defences, and Leaf Shield already covers your earth and physical.

I personally would have kept the Skeletal Fire Gun (Poor SFG Cry) but the Jittery Jipple Potion is pretty good too. Together with the Ethereal Sword (if you are gonna purchase that at least), you're gonna pack a lot of air, which is just delightful!

About that last question. Looking at your budget, Scuzzys Comb would be the immediate choice. I personally am not a fan of random weapons, but Staff of Righteous Fury is almost as decent as Sword of Apocalypse in my opinion (and I like the SoA a lot), so yeah worth looking at that as an upgrade later on. Smile
