Slug Monster Strategy Suggestions?!
0000000000
UPDATE Today has been a good day: first the Slug Monster, then The Drenched ![]() So now I'm going for the Qasalan Mummy. If anyone feels like offering suggestions, please do! SECOND UPDATE The Qasalan Mummy fell like a house 'o cards! So there you go, since DoN 8 I haven't changed my weapons set at all -- just kept training. Once you get the Snow Beast, you're basically done with DoN. I thought it would be much more difficult -- and sort of, kind of, wish it had (been). NOW WHAT!? 0000000 Been trying to beat the Slug Monster. His 2 main weapons are Rancid Battle Dung and Vile Swamp Water. I generally start with Burrow as it protects me against all possible attacks except 3 dark. I tried using Burrow in conjuction with an Ultra Dark Refectorb, but that didn't seem to add much punch. With burrow I use the BoD and the SS. I don't seem to freeze him much or get a double freeze situation. Then if he is not frozen I might use the Double Dryer, Shovel Plus & Sink as it offers protection, but if he attacks with the VSW I don't deal any damage but lose 100+ hp. Then, I don't know, I try various combos but I'm basically lost. Suggestions? Stats: HP: 306 Str: 250 Def: 255 Move:63 Weapons I've been trying: Snowglobe Staff Greater Healing Scroll Bow of Destiny Honey Potion Downsize! Goo Blaster Double Dryer Shovel Plus Snowglobe Staff Other weapons on hand: Scroll of The Dark Star Sophies Magic Hat Rusty Lamppost Earthen Scorchstone Enchanted Wooden Bow Purple Sticky Hand Leaf Shield Dual Battle Mirror Ultra Dark Reflectorb . . . then man invented Boing & anti-Boing. . . |

RE: Slug Monster Strategy Suggestions?!
Get a 100% freezer. With all the chance involved in that battle, you really don't need to worry about the fact that you only freeze 1/5 times with the staff. And start with drian life, it's more effective when he has more health.

RE: Slug Monster Strategy Suggestions?!
Try this :
Neglecting stances , 1st round : Diamond Dust (Preferred) / Fiery Gaze + Bow of Destiny + Drain Life until he is frozen AND used Jade Scorchstone ( 126 damage dealt ) 2nd round : Honey Potion + Bow of Destiny + Berserk ( 228 damage dealt ) 3rd round : Snowglobe Staff + Bow of Destiny + Burrow until he is frozen ( 71 damage dealt ) 4th round : Bow of Destiny + Goo Blaster + Berserk ( 198 damage dealt ) He should be dead at this point . It's good to buy H4000 Helmet or Freezing Potion so you don't need to try so many trials

cutejohn291 Wrote:1st round : Diamond Dust (Preferred) / Fiery Gaze + Bow of Destiny + Drain Life until he is frozen AND used Jade Scorchstone ( 126 damage dealt ) Thanks a lot for your input cutejohn! But..... Diamond Dust and Drain Life are both Faerie Abilities so I can't use them both at the same time? I'm saving to upgrade my weapon set, but you know, at this stage it takes a little while to get all the nps required -- so I'm just trying with what I have for now

RE: Slug Monster Strategy Suggestions?!
cutejohn291 Wrote:Nicely done! No, he actually froze me first round, but didn't capitalize on it in the second round. Then I used Snowglobe Staff + Bow of Destiny + Burrow on the third round and got a freeze. I followed up with Honey Potion + Bow of Destiny + Berserk for the 4th. Then used Sink + Bow of Destiny + Goo Blaster and that was it! (Maybe he had 2 hp or something still but I had 178 hp or something so ....)I tried for the Snow Beast for months ( I just got him as a RE Friday night, April 6th) and here's what ultimately worked for me -- yes I know it was pronbably just luck but??. I refreshed at the Advent Calendar 25-30 times early in the day until I got a random event; any random event. Then later in the day I would refresh 50-60 times until I got another ramdom event. Then finally at the end of the day I would refresh 75-100 times and sometimes got a random event, sometimes not. I did this every day for 5 days and got the Snow Beast. In the past I would refresh hundreds of times all in one go and never had any luck. So, I'm just putting out there what seemed to work for me. Best of luck! . . . then man invented Boing & anti-Boing. . . |

RE: Slug Monster Strategy Suggestions?!
Killing The Drenched should be an easy task. Just remember don't use your Goo Blaster
Replace it with Shooting Star Muffin. Best of luck!
