Need help. Finally found Snow Beast.. But, seems to have bigger problem now..

I'm desperately trying to beat him.

My stats are :
Level: 85
Health : 218 / 218
Strength : LEGENDARY (115)
Defence : EXCELLENT (44)

My set used against Snow Beast:
SoA
Winged Scarab
Downsize!
Honey Potion
Scroll of freezing
Jade Elixir
Shooting star muffin
Shooting star muffin

Faerie Abilities used:
Fiery Gaze
Borrow
And maybe Sink/drain life/regeneration

I really dont know if a 85 str boost can beat snow beast with a <5mil budget.. But I really want to get past him. My intented moves are:

First turn: Fiery Gaze + Winged Scarab + Downsize!
(I was KO-ed once in a single blow even with downsize!.. So WS is for the extra def)

Second turn: Berserk + Honey Potion + Scroll of freezing
(Double-freeze)

Third turn: Berserk + SoA + Shooting Star Muffin

Forth turn: Borrow + SoA + SC

Fifth turn: Berserk + SoA + Possibly Jade Elixir

Sixth turn: Sink + SoA + SC ... ... etc etc


I really don't know if its even possible to beat him like that. Any advice? (Other than to train cos Im tryin my best to reach that 125 boost. :\'( )

Getting your strength to 125 would be a big edge in the battle.

Also, consider replacing a muffin with a constant icon weapon? (It would be cheaper and more effective for battling in the long run)

Try getting your defense to 55 as well.

Hmm... not sure. I'm gonna direct you to some very handy tools that IDB has which has helped me plan many of my DoN battles (I recently finished DoN):
First, go too:

Click on the opponent you're trying to beat. This will tell you:
-What weapons They use.
-Their hp.
Now, go to:

If you know the stats of your weapons, you can calculate how much damage you'll do... And how much damage your opponent can do to you. This isn't as important, but it will help you figure out whatever defense needs to play int your stratgey. You might need some more training, though. I'm a bit surprised you beat the ghostkerchief without the 125 stregth boost! Good Luck, though!

There's the first part of your problem. Turn 2 needs to be you going all out, regardless. Turn three, Thick Smoke Bomb with Scroll of Freezing. You'll do more damage that way. I'm not going to run the exact figures at the moment, but that's the immediate problem I see with your strategy.

An alternative Turn 1 would be to run Burrow/Sink and Snowglobe Staff/Black Frost Cannon instead of Fiery Gaze (and probably switch to a constant weapon rather than using Winged Scarab/Downsize!).

As has been said, getting your Strength to 125 will help. Increasing your Defense Boost will be futile for this fight.

Lucky you, I'm still trying to find the Snow Beast. I have never fought him before, as I haven't found him, but I will use what I know to try help you defeat him.

Yes, getting to 125 strength boost will help you.

It's good that you have Winged Scarab to defend against his heavy attacks.  You might also want a Double Dryer to reflect all that that he uses against you.  Rest a while to train before taking on him again.  Consider training both defence and strength to 125 boosts before trying.  Apart from the Faerie abilities you mentioned, you can also use Boil as an alternative to Sink or Burrow since they each block one type of icon ( or ) which the Snow Beast doesn't really focus on.

You might want to change your weapons a little bit.  After bombing him once, use the Honey Potion and one Shooting Star Muffin and Berserk Attack.  You should be able to do 140 damage to it, which is almost half his health.  Beware of the Jade Scorchstone though, you might want to use the tactic after he uses it so he can't full-heal again. Then you should freeze him a second time, and use your constant attacker and the other Shooting Star Muffin. This time, you should be doing 126 damage. In the case that you have successfully defended and Snow Beast hasn't healed yet, that should leave you 34 more health to deal with, which should not be hard unless he heals. If he heals, withdraw and start again.

Another problem is that the Snow Beast can Sink.  That means you will have to use focus your attack using and because Sink blocks everything else.  That is going to be hard because you don't have the cash for Pirate Captains Cutlass or Ghostkersword, though I think you would've beaten him by now if you had one of the two.  Bow of Destiny will help better in this case because it does 5 of each, and Wand of Reality only does 5 out of the two types useful.  Since I suggest you don't fight him in a while, you can try to aim for a set like:

Downsize!
Jade Elixir
Bow of Destiny
Winged Scarab
Double Dryer
Honey Potion
Shooting Star Muffin
Shooting Star Muffin

Tip: You may want to slowly chip away his health and wait until he heals by using Winged Scarab and Double Dryer in the first rounds. In the case that the Double Dryer breaks, withdraw and start again.

If the above set and strategies helps you defeat the Snow Beast, please tell me so I can use it for myself when I find him.

Umm... I'm pretty sure 1-player opponents can use the once-pet battle weapons multiple times...

No, obiwanpi, they can't... and haven't been able to for some time now. TNT made the change a while back, and a lot of enemies have become easier to beat because of it.

Hey, Im very thankful for all the advice that Ive got but ... ...
After many fruitless attempts, I'm convinced that my stas/weapons are just not good enough.. Many of you feel that I shd increase my stats to 125 boosters first, which I totally agree. But here is where I face a dilemma. My level is currenly only at 85 (spending alot on codestones). I don't know when I can ever break even at level 114 to match my hp of 218. Even then, every stat I try to increase will cost me an average of 30k.. Is there a cheaper AND faster method to achieve my 125 str boost.. ?

I'm willing to do almost anything to get that 125 str boost. I stopped the ray and used a lenny trans on my pet so that I could concentrate on raising his level.. But now I'm getting to the point where training is getting costly. K quest / T.Sc are very slow since I own 3 pets. (faerie-painted)

Should I .. continue to earn nps and do training.. / buy strength serum / continue labbing now / continue labbing only after I get 125 def&str boost .. or?

bnw2, you don't want to sit at the 85 boost forever, right? Just pay the NP to train. There's no deadline here, so just train as you can afford it and fight the snowbeast once you're strong enough.
