I have been trying to get the Snowbeast challenger for over a week now. constantly refreshing in the Advent calender shop and other areas around terror mountain, Happy valley and ice caves.
My question is do I need an item in my inventory like the snow beast(TCG)?. What am I doing wrong?
It Seems to me that the snow beast doesn't want me to find him as he knows he is gonna get his a*** kicked.
Anyway I went off topic a bit there, just coz it's annoying.
Please help if you can. Smartypants

You can only get the snow beast by refreshing at the avent calendar. http://www.neopets.com/winter/adventcalendar.phtml It is an extremely rare RE, but there are no other requirements.

I expirienced the exact same issue trying to get him when I finally got him, I beat the NEXT THREE DoN opponents after him THAT SAME DAY! My advice is to add refreshing 25 times at the advent calender to your dailies. It may take a couple months, but you'll get him. The rational behind refreshing 25 times a day is that the chance of getting an RE there seems to be inversly perportional to the amount of refershes you've made in the recent past. That means that it seems that the more you refresh, the less likely you'll get an RE soon. Nothing sientific, just an observation I've made. Also, refreshing 25 times and not getting him is less frustrating than refreshing 100 times and not getting him.

I used this strategy suggested by someone at pinkpt and got it in a matter of minutes:

1) Open two windows - one at advent calendar and one at cliffhanger
2) Keep refreshing in one window until you get any RE, then switch to the other window and refresh there until you get another RE, then switch back
3) Repeat step 2)

I got it 3 to 4 REs later at cliffhanger. Hope it works for you.

Um... I wasn't talking about the collect prizes page. I was talking about the page which I linked In my first post, the "main" page. That's perfectly allowed, and basically a necessity to get him.

I finally got the snow beast as a challenger by using silverwing's advice after 3 days of 20mins per day (thanks for that silverwing).
Whilst refreshing I got numerious random events most were not worth posting about but I did get 2 christmas paint brushes 5 icy neggs and found hidden treasure 4 times, so once again thanks silverwing Wink

Wow! Congratulations! It didn't take me nearly as long to get it but I didn't get any of the goodies. Acutaully the only RE I still remember now was that my pet got hit by a snowball on the head and lost a bunch of HPs Sad
