Some advice for my set
For my main pet. At the moment I'm labbing, but as soon as she turns pretty I'm stopping and levelling up so i can train def.

Bliss_on_earth
Species: Usul
Lvl : 30
Str : 79
Def : 21
Mov : 20
Hp : 154 / 125

Current set:
Golden Compass
Essence of Esophagor
Greater Healing Scroll
Snowglobe Staff
Downsize!
Illusens Earth Potion
Scarab Ring

Weapons in SDB - Bucket o water, Ugga marblesheild, 10 shooting star muffins

Budget - around 500k, but I can stretch a lot further if something is ideal.
I play entirely 1 player, and my current DoN challenger is the meerca bros.
Thanks for any advice given Smile

RE: Some advice for my set
Why not be leveling now and save yourself time later?

That said, Defense is generally useless in One Player. If you're planning on playing Two Player down the road, keep with Defense, but as far as One Player goes you're going to be pumping time and money into it for a long time before it ever pays off. But that's something for you to worry about.

Your next upgrade is to the ten-iconers, and for One Player dual-Scuzzys Comb should do fine. Then again, Meerca Henchmen can block Physical, so hang onto your Golden Compass or Essence of Esophagor (then again, for One Player use, you could downgrade both of those to Ice Club, with no relative loss, 'cept against the Henchmen).

I'm inclined to suggest dumping Illusens Earth Potion. It would be more helpful if you were doing Two Player, but it's near useless in One Player given your current set.

One final consideration (though two Scuzzys Comb will eat your budget) would be upgrading Snowglobe Staff to Black Frost Cannon for a higher freeze rate plus damage.

Do you want the generic strategy to beat the Henchmen? Then again, I'm not sure you can pull it off at the 55 Boost easily.

RE: Some advice for my set
well, basically, you must go to strengths boost 85 and get a set like these...

Scarab Ring
Scuzzys Comb
Golden Compass
Essence of Esophagor
Greater Healng Scroll
Snowglobe Staff
Downsize!
Sugested defense in the 1p profiles at idb

There arent many changes, but about meerca bros., my guild has one very good, but... is in spanish im going to traslate it and send to neomail, it really works (on my main acount it was like rest and see how your pet saves the day)

What's the worst that I can say? Things are better if I stay! So long and goodnight, So long and goodnight!

RE: Some advice for my set
I suggest to keep training and labbing simultaneously. Also like me I only planned on doing 1player but later down the road you'll become more interested and will probably try some 2p but I would keep training defense just in case. So my suggestions are:

This set comes out to be around 350k ish Neopoints I'd use the rest to save towards a Honey Potion and if you do get near it (780k) and need around 100k more Sell your Cloudy Wand of Storms to buy the HP

mmm... guardian, this is a set of a battler who trained defense, and you forgot suggest a sticky snowball as an one use bomb, then it would function... only if she gets her ideal pet fast and starts training defense, only if there...

And the set of a Two Player battler. I'd recommend entirely against Guardian's suggestions of 4-6 for One Player, regardless.

RE: Some advice for my set
I was levelling but i was finding I'd outgrow the academy, enroll on a course at the MI school and then the lab would take me down two levels, so i would have to stump up the extra codestone, so I stopped. But I've only just noticed how LOW my level has got, so I think I'll train it back up to 39 and keep it there until i stop labbing.
I was thinking about getting a HP, but with it being the price of my current set twice over, i thought I should upgrade the rest first. I've just noticed my Quadrapus will have aged in two weeks, so i can add another 200k to my budget.
I think eventually I will be doing two-player, but I wouldn't have the confidence to do so without a 100% freeze.
Thanks for all the help so far, I'm looking into the scuzzy's combs now Smile
