Harvest Moon DS - worth getting?
I've played the GBA version of it, and it wasn't half-bad!! My only concern is that I hear it's pretty glitchy (some people are experiencing more of a problem than others.)

ANYWAYS, does anyone have any opinions about whether it's worth getting? o.o

Wait for the next Wii/ Gamecube version/ next game. They have generally better stories and much better graphics. If you don't have Gamecube/ Wii then buy a new DS one (not use it might not work). A great game though. Smile

I mostly wanted the DS one for traveling (and for school XD)

I don't own a wii ;_;... so a gamecube one is possible

I've been considering getting this as well, but I haven't found anyone that I could ask about it. :/

RE: Harvest Moon DS - worth getting?
It has the same characters of the GC game "A Wonderful Life", but has most of the aspects of the GBA version. The only thing is that you need wood for everything-Even the shed to store wood in. You order items, animals, and jobs by phone (from your friends in the GBA game).

There's a bunch of women you can marry in this one. Besides Nami, Celia, and Muffy, you can also marry a mermaid, a mysterious girl that lives in a cave, the Harvest Witch, the Harvest goddess, Lumina, and Flora. even the GBA ones are marriable, by having the GBA version attached (though the game will end after you do). Be warned, though, you do have rivals this time around.

The game actually has a plot as well, unlike the GBA one. In this one, you need to find 101 harvest sprites to change the Harvest Goddess from stone back to her old self.

All in all, I'd play the GBA one on your DS, since it's somewhat easier and almost glitch free.

This is a triumph. I'm making a note here:HUGE SUCCESS!-Portal
