How many pets?
How may pets do you have? I currently have 3 (did have 4 until about 5 minutes ago) and am thinking of going back down to 1. Do those of you who have more than one pet - do you scratchard/quest train at all? Is it still worth it if the stats go to the `wrong' pet? If you only have one pet - do you feel that your lab is `wasted' if you don't use it? (I saved so long to get the lab lol)

RE: How many pets?
I've got one pet. On a good day I can get 3 or 4 faerie quests, I'd hate to waste those on a second pet and it really helps with Kitchen Quests too.
I've tried stopping the lab ray but it's too addictive. The higher your level goes the more valuable a good zap becomes. (I do miss my Fire Elephante though) |

RE: How many pets?
I've only got one. I do not plan to get another one either. I want to put all my attention onto one pet. I can train it the way i want, paint it the color I want and get it a nice bd set without worrying about spending on another pet at all.

RE: How many pets?
I only have one pet.
I used to have two, but got rid of my BetineJosefine to train my main pet better.

RE: How many pets?
I used to have three, but dumped two roughly four years ago when I got into battling. The value of Scratch Cards and Quests, if you want them to hit a specific Pet, first halve, then cut cut by a third, then to a fourth depending on how many Pets you have. It's certainly more effective to only have one Pet in that regard. K-Questing, in my opinion, would be out of the question with more than one Pet due to the cost, unless you're training every Pet, or simply don't care.
The Lab is entirely dependent on my situation. I know it's paid itself off several times for me, and each time I was about to hit a Level barrier for training, Labbing during that time would have risked costing me money. My Digimon fanfic "Illusory Memories" is complete: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3798268/1/Illusory_Memories "If the Spectres have resurfaced, this is no longer a game between us and the Phoenixes. We need to have humanity by the throat before the Spectres alert the humans to our presence." One Player High Score Charts Achieved: 5 / 59 (Holding Two) |

RE: How many pets?
Having just one pet is definitely a plus when you are looking to raise stats through Quests and sometimes random events. But it is not something that is absolute. You can still get your battle pet's stats well and good if you work hard at training it.
Sometimes having only one pet has its Disadvantage! There will be situations where you cannot get your dailies from say Coltzan's Shrine, which give out stats, for the basic fear that a visit to it could make your pet stats go up to a point that you have to spend on more training than you should. Also, an active pet have a chance of getting it's level increased through a random event. Again, if your pet which got the level up is already at the max stat amount for that training level, you will need to again spend more on training to make up for the other stats. I dunno if that is clear enough. Hope it is .

RE: How many pets?
when I've just started neopets , I got 4!
![]() When I got into BD , I quickly reduced it to 2. Now , I have one pet for main battles , one for battling with lab pet (Cheap weapons) . I'm considering having one 55 boost dual-duty pet. Chinese stock guide : http://www.neopets.com/~cleverjohn |

RE: How many pets?
I have one. I wanted a decent battlepet, and since I'm on s...l......o...........w dial-up and can't restock, money tree, auction snipe, etc. and I'm too poor to be a "premium" member (grrrrr.....don't get me started on them), I'd never be able to afford to get one if I had multi-pets.
You can pretend to care, but you can't pretend to BE THERE! |

RE: How many pets?
Unless you like to use the underwater fishing vortex a lot, want to have several neoquest I games, or want more cheap food in the monthly goodies, there's no advantage in getting more than 1 pet.
I swear, a digital time-warp ate my signature |
