Sophies Magic Hat

I grabbed one of these for 110k this morning and did a little testing to see if it really defends earth (it does). My pet has 250 str/def, so I picked The Brain Tree, who had 257-273 HP for me at the time of testing (I assumed that meant we have the same str and def boosts -- do we?). Now, I'm a rater, not a tester, so hopefully someone can interpret these and get the proper data.

And, just for good measure, I tested it against Lava Ghoul, with his 300+ HP.

If anyone wants to test this more, I still have it, so PM me. Edit: Tested with graphitesmoothie -- it blocks 5 earth, 3 fire, 3 dark, and 3 physical (screenie in his post below).

I agree, even for 110K, this is quite a nice shield. I might get it, though my defence is at 62 at the moment.

You can't assume the tree has 250 boost
Let me calculate

You defended all the fire , dark and phy , obviously.
So 3 icons get through.
11 dmg / 3 icons = 3.67 dmg/icon.

So he isn't necessary to be 250 boosted

He appears to be 200 boost, I believe. To me, the best way to test defence is to go against an opponent with a much higher strength boost and see how much damage should've been done and how much actually was done.

Someone told me long ago that a 1-player opponents' str and def boost were equal to his hit points... if that's not true, I'm disappointed. And this is why I don't usually test defence items!

Yeah, it's weird I guess. I always assumed it was that, as well.
