I need Help beating the Meerca Henchman
i have a lab pet
lvl: 10
hp: 156+(always rising due to lab)
str: 93
def: 26
mov: 50
abilities: fiery gaze, burrow, sink, drain life

current equipment: scarab ring, greater healing scroll, leaf shield, downsize!,
green frost cannon, enchanted wooden bow, earth faerie bow, and golden compass

weapons at disposition: patched magic hat, turbo flame reflector, dual battle mirror, snowballs(every kind)

ive gotten him down to like 30 once but he always seems to win. he can even knock me down cold in one attack if he uses his 2 best weapons and i dont get to defend that turn. any suggestions?

You gotta STOP labbing !!!!! That'll bring you to 4 codestone training area where your training cost will be 33% more than 3 codestone training.

I'll leave the beating advice to the others

RE: I need Help beating the Meerca Henchman
I won't disagree with cutejohn that if you ever want to have an elite battle pet, you'll need to lay off the lab for a while and train defense, which will be expensive, but CAN be done (I've done it myself).
If you don't want to take a break from the lab, and you don't want to train defense (this is, after all, a GAME, and you're supposed to enjoy what you're doing, and not become a slave to it), you need to do some serious thinking about how you construct your battleset.
Right now, you have a set that "assumes" that you're training defense and that you have an even stat pet, not a lab pet. The Scarab Ring's brilliance for the price is that it combines an attack WITH good defense, but the defense there is largely wasted on your pet, due to its low stats. The Leaf Shield, Patched Magic Hat and Golden Compass also have their overall worth compromised by your lack of defensive skills. In other words, you have the right type of set for someone else's pet. You need to either take a break from the lab and train your pet into maximizing the type of set you like (which would be my advice), OR to keep labbing and realize that you'll end up with a strong pet with A LOT of hit points, but no defensive abilities and adjust your set accordingly. Downsize! is the type of defensive weapon that DOES make sense for your pet currently as it's a percentage blocker and not dependent upon your defense. If you're going to continue to lab, look at the Winged Scarab (it's physical defense doesn't require high defensive stats), though it's more expensive than most of your set and ultimately the Ring of the Lost. Also, you'll need stronger attackers at the top of your battleset to take advantage of your pet's strength. Scuzzys Comb is a lousy financial investment, but its the cheapest 10-icon attack, and it would help you to upgrade to that in the #1 attack slot. Sell your snowballs (they're single use items) and also look at a honey potion. And when you've got that done, if you're going to continue to lab, there's also the matter that you've outgrown your healer, and need a replacement there, and you need a stronger #2 offensive weapon and a freezer upgrade.
Unfortunately the lab has put you in box where either way you want to go, it's going to require a fair amount of nps and time. The training route will eventually allow you to have an elite battlepet, while the lab won't, but the choice is yours. There are also tons of upgrades WAY beyond what I've given, which are just quick off the top of the head suggestions, but the main point is for you to decide the direction you want to take and then taylor your battleset to your pet's strengths, which it currently isn't. Good luck whichever way you choose.

You can pretend to care, but you can't pretend to BE THERE!

RE: I need Help beating the Meerca Henchman
You can deal with the Henchmen right now easily (well, at the potential expense of 150K or so, and a little luck):

First turn: Golden Compass + Downsize! + Fiery Gaze
Second Turn: Golden Compass + Earth Faerie Bow + Fierce
Third Turn: Golden Compass + FRAGILE FREEZER + Sink
Fourth Turn: The best Muffins you can afford 2x + Fierce

You may need to edit the third turn so that you use Golden Compass and your Earth Faerie Bow in addition to Sink, and then run your fourth turn with Golden Compass, Thick Smoke Bomb, and Fierce. Which would put your muffinizing the Henchmen to the fifth turn. Run all the calculations for damage you can deal before you fight. I also am not sure which fragile Freezer is the cheapest at the moment, but that will be the bulk of your cost if the Henchmen freeze you that turn as well, or if it breaks (or both).

As far as your Pet's stats and set... if you ever want to do Two Player seriously, short of five plus years from now, you need to stop labbing until you can get your stats to a trainable point. However, if you only care about One Player, stop labbing long enough to get your Level caught up. There is no reason not to Terror Trove, as in my experience they pay themselves off with the cash earnings alone, as well as offer a Level on occasion.

The Defense stat is worthless in One Player. That's something to keep in mind, depending on whether you care about Two Player or not, since ignoring it will save you a lot of time and money.

RE: I need Help beating the Meerca Henchman
I just beat the Meerca Henchmen on my very first attempt! Below are my stats and how I did it:

Level: 60
Health: 210 / 180 (I visited the Healing Springs a couple of times before battling to get my HP up higher than normal)
Strength: AMAZING (87)
Defence: AMAZING (85)

Weapons I used: Snowglobe Staff, Honey Potion, 2 x Shooting Star Muffins

Round 1: Snowglobe Staff, Honey Potion, + Burrow on Strong
My HP after Round 1: 180
Meerca Henchmen HP after Round 1: 169

Round 2: We were both frozen so couldn't do anything.

Round 3: 2 x Shooting Star Muffins + beserk
My HP after Round 3: 79
Meerca Henchmen HP after Round 3: 0

And that finished them! End of fight! It was so much easier than I expected it would be. (Or maybe I was just lucky!)

I hope that helps other battlers to beat them.

RE: I need Help beating the Meerca Henchman
Sounds like you were lucky. Then again, I think most people going against them are running either the 55 or 85 Boost, and running much less health than you were. I'm pretty sure I had around 120 HP when I fought them.

Good job. Hope you got the Avatar you wanted.
