What items should I get for my techo?

I have a Scarab Ring, Zapatron 2000 and a Blue Scorchstone. Is there anything else I should use? he's only level 8 and has only 16 hp and 14 strength.

At the moment training (defense, strength and hit points) is your best investment. Your healer is better than you need (but you'll grow into it), the Scarab Ring is cheap, but useful, and the Zapatron a bit expensive for what it does, but again, useful. I'd avoid species weapons here, and concentrate on training. But other INEXPENSIVE additions that would be helpful for you to have include: A second Scarab Ring (for situational use), a Green Frost Cannon (to have a chance of freezing), a Leaf Shield and Downsize! for defense, and a Purple Sticky Hand (a situational use stealer). Beyond that, it's a matter of what you have for a budget as there are TONS of upgrades, but they're costly.

I have 60,000 np and I have alot of luck with neopets. I've made up to 20,000 np a day on that site. How many turns does downsize last for? I have been considering getting that item. And I got the healer item because it was about the same price as the 15 hp healer.

Nothing wrong with having a healer that's affordable and MORE than you need, as you WILL grow into it with training. Downsize! is once per battle, but blocks 50% of all attack. It's good value for the nps and is inexpensive. And it's a weapon that will have at least situational use value to you for years ahead as you train, as if you get to fighting pets that do 500 hps damage in a round, blocking 250 hps of damage still isn't a bad deal.

Ummm....first, please use the edit key to avoid double posting, which is frowned upon.   And I thought I'd explained the Downsize!   It is one use PER BATTLE.   After you block 50% of an attack in one round, it disappears for the remainder OF THAT BATTLE.   It doesn't disappear totally though, and you'll have it for your next battle indefinately.   In other words, it's ONCE PER BATTLE, but not breakable.
   T-potions are available, but I've never used them and I don't know what shops they restock in as I'm on dial-up and can't restock.   A morphing potion can be useful.

Transmog potions don't rs, as far as I know -- Dr. Sloth hands them out in random events. They make your pet mutant and are often the cheapest way to change species.
