Not enough raters?

I've found that a lot of good weapons has no rating , for example Hand Buzzer , Fiery Sun Scroll and Jade Staff . Perhaps some more raters should be employed
Any thoughts?

There are enough raters, just not enough active ones who are rating Many raters have already quit neopets or rarely come online now due to RL. I believe we (staff) had plans to open applications but then we decided to wait for IDB2, and that hasn't progressed much...not sure what's going on right now.

Moved to IDB suggestions, and yes, we're aware of the lack of rating... I think the status is: waiting for finalhit or another admin to act.

Maybe a couple of polls, here in the boards, about the "good" unrated weapons ratings could help a little until it's fixed.

At least we could refer people to each unrated item's poll for some reference when needed.

Not all those who check idb are members of the forums, so those wouldn't be helped by the threads here. I sent finalhit a message some time ago to ask if he needed more raters but he hasn't replied, judging by the other comments here he is probably busy with other stuff. Who are the other admins? And how long has idb2 been in the works now?

If it helps, if you have a particular item that whose stats are in the database and which doesn't already have a rating on it, feel free to PM me about it and I'll try to oblige as soon as I have the time. I'm not around much during basketball season (it'll be ending sometime over the next 1-3 weeks depending upon how far we go in the playoffs). Normally I rate items as I come into contact with them, which obviously isn't systematic at all. Any and all projects for improvement that I've ever worked on have started out with small steps being taken to ADDRESS the problem, rather than by talking about the problem

The others are Zatoichi (Phoenix on the forums), JohnM, Blin (blinblue), Molly (mollymooster), Forte, and 92. I don't think they all have the same amount of access, but I think they all have the technical ability at least to add raters.
