[Computer Problem]Google hax
Something strange started to happen yesterday. My homepage for Internet Explorer is suddenly setted yo "google.com" while my original one should be "about:blank" So I changed it back immediately. But after a few minutes, when I opened a new explorer, it is setted as "google.com" again. I have tried to set it back to "about:blank" but it just keeped changing.

Any ideas what happened? My Firefox is fine but I get used to Internet Explorer so don't suggest me to change the explorer.

My suggestion is to hit yourself in the head with a big stick until you forget how to use IE and use firefox instead ...

*cough*
I mean... have you installed something new recently? Maybe a toolbar or something is causing that.

Or... try using HijackThis (you can search for it in google, I'm not sure if I should post links here) to see if there's something messing with your homepage, if it finds something unusual post the log it here.

I swear, a digital time-warp ate my signature

"Something strange started to happen yesterday. My homepage for Internet Explorer..." yeah. That is probably your issue there. Luckily for you, this doesn't seem all that serious. But I'd make the switch now before its too late and something really bad happens. If you like IEs look, you can probably skin FF so that it looks like IE...

*sigh*

I laugh at all IElitists. (my name for people too elite to use IE) He asked not to suggest him to change the explorer, please respect his wishes, thanks Toungue My advice to him (which I gave over our IRC channel) was to start at http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Remov...:_Overview for the root of his problem (spyware) and also to use a couple tools I uploaded at http://idb.finalhit.org/uploads/Mike/HomePageLock.reg and http://idb.finalhit.org/uploads/Mike/HomePageUnlock.reg (filenames should be self-explanatory) - locking as his problem is solved

Maybe it sounds weird, but I have never seen anyone in Hong Kong using Firefox as their main browser. Toungue

And yeah after scanning and using HomePageLock, the problem is gone. Thanks alot, everyone.
