RE: Best set for 200k?
I'm sure someone will suggest you some weapons but i would ask you to choose an strategy.
First i think that you need train to the 35 boost (35 on def and att) then you should have level 18 and maybe get hp up to 40. With that in mind you can go for the full attack (brute force hits) method and buy just offensive weapons. Or restrain your power to defend some icons (dual duties and shields). I guess brute force will give you more wins on this early stage. But as you reach higger boost (like 55, 85 and 125) defense gets more usability. Any path you choose i suggest you to buy: Greater Healing Scroll this healer will help you a lot (is a medium term weapon gear) Downsize! is a percentage defensive weapon that can give you that last punch and survive it. Then it just to save... and fight to get fight wisdom, this last one will give you more wins within any budget. Vinit Wrote:for boosts i should train on defence? yes train both strength and defense to 35. I'd personally leave hp alone but that's assuming you can afford the lab ray later on. Muhahaha? |

RE: Best set for 200k?
Q77 is really in love with the lab ray.
Vinit, if you don't plan on using the lab ray, then train HP as well. Do strength and defence to 35 and hit points to around 40-50 (you always want HP to be at least equal to, and usually higher than, str and def). Training is more important than weapons for you right now. I'll suggest a pretty decent set that'll last you for a while, and as you hit each new strength boost, you'll be able to do more and more damage with that set. I'm assuming you do 1-player only, so try this:Stone Club (80k) Earth Faerie Slingshot (35k) Greater Healing Scroll (35k) Downsize! (6k) Leaf Shield (7k) and Mystical White Cloak (25k) Green Frost Cannon or Snowglobe Staff (6k or 20k) One-use bomb (snowball or muffin) Purple Sticky Hand (1k) That adds up to either 195k or 209k, depending on whether you get the frost cannon (lower chance of freezing, but attacks with some icons) or the snowglobe staff (higher freeze chance, but also has a chance of doing nothing some rounds). With both, your strategy will be: use the freezer first round and if it doesn't freeze, withdraw (there's no penalty in 1-player) and fight inflatable balthazar to heal, and try again. If you want to save a little cash, just get the leaf shield for now and hold off on the cloak. Also, get these faerie abilities whenever you can: drain life, burrow (very important), sink (also very important), and fiery gaze.

Cranberry Wrote:Stone Club (80k) Yes that is the cookie cutter 200k set. I have one issue though- at his level (sub 35 boost) downsize! isn't as useful as it could be. Not only is the often lack of opposing bombs an issue (maximising its usefulnesss in the first place) but common shields can cut more damage out of an opponents attack at this level anyway. Consider getting another shield for this slot (or preferably the dual duty scarab ring. this will give you more of an advantage) |

Eh, he's training. Downsize! will be useful soon enough. And it's not "the" cookie-cutter 1-player set; there are some alternatives. Feel free to suggest a better one if you like.

RE: Best set for 200k?
If I were to give you a 200K set, I would give:
Purple Sticky Hand Downsize! Greater Healing Scroll Patched Magic Hat Green Frost Cannon Illusens Earth Potion Scarab Ring Ice Club More or less the same to Cranberry except for the use of Illusens Earth Potion and Ice Club I'm not a fan of non-100% freezers or dual-duties. |

RE: Best set for 200k?
Illusens Earth Potion does 6.33 to 9 icons and can only be used once per battle, and the Earth Faerie Slingshot does 7-9 icons and can be used as many times as you like. It's better. IEP is not a good idea once your main attackers do as many icons as it (or more, in the case of the clubs). It's definitely a nice little bomb... if your main attackers do 6 icons each. It is not as useful now as it used to be.

RE: Best set for 200k?
The one I posted earlier, although take rylix's suggestion and use Scarab Ring instead of Downsize!, just for now. Once you get to the 55 boosts or so, Downsize! will be more useful.
You can always keep Scarab Ring around for when you're fighting someone who does fire or whatever.
