Upgrading set~
Pet name: Tridon_Sabrek (currently a lab pet)
Species: Kyrii(labpet)
Level: 1
Strength: 91
Defense: 6 (it was decent up till quite recently, where the labray mauled it D:)
Health: 249

Current set:
Stone Club
Enchanted Wooden Bow
Scarab Ring
Great Healing Scroll

Budget you have to spend: I have a good base of np at the moment and will be working towards this set(setting up a stock portfolio, getting into restocking), 3M'ish?
Daily income: Varies 5000-15000 average

Do you play mostly 1P or 2P battles?: 1p (mostly in neopets for wars and such o_O)

How do you train your pet: Lab

I was thinking of stopping labbing my pet(to take advantage of the gelert specific healing item), but looking at the current level and defense, it could be on the painful side of things to bring it up to a level where I can start progressing his stats again...

Possibilities I was thinking maybe Golden Compass and Ramtor's Spellbook? Bleh, I'm completely inexperienced so any ideas would be great. Not particularly keen on aiming for any more than 5M at the moment(?)

RE: Upgrading set~
since you are at level 1, u would need to train till atleast level 249/2= 124.5 => 125. so 124 levles before you can start training defence.Yes it would be very painful to train him up. still if u wnat to use him only for wars i'd say get a Downsize! with 3 million to spend i'm sure u can get some pretty good weapons.

since you are mainly into 1 player i'd suggest getting the faerie ability fiery gaze (3 bottled faeries and training till level 6) or/and black frost cannon and a honey potion Right now they are a slightly inflated because of the possibility of war with the present plot. But otherwise these two would cost you around 1 to 1.25 million.

RE: Upgrading set~
I don't think you should train your pet. At this point, it would cost too much per stat to raise it back to even- either (don't, really) get a new pet, or just live with labbing.

My Oppinion
-Black Frost Cannon (Best Freezer before multi-millions)
-Honey Potion (for use when they're frozen)
-Scuzzys Comb (Best Pure Icon (non dual-duty) for price)
-Ramtors Spellbook (Dont worry about extra light- your in 1-player mostly anyway, doesnt matter)
-Stone Club (For when you need some non-light, cost effective)
-Greater Healing Scroll (healing. you can get a species healer if you stop labbing)
-Purple Sticky Hand (1-player often has some nice stealables)
-Downsize! (without saying, for when you anticipate a bomb or fierce/beserk)

Edit: Your next upgrades are: Stone Club -> Bzzt Blaster, Scuzzys Comb --> Bow of Destiny

The bad thing about a set like this is that once you use your once/battles your limited as to what you can attack with and if your opponent blocks light heavily your rather crapstackled. However your doing 1-player so icon numbers is more important than icon-type strategy Wink.

As you can see theres not much defense in there, but no offence you cant use it Smile.

RE: Upgrading set~
As you have a labpet... unless you want to spend a lot on training follow the path to pure damage. If you have all the useful faerie abilities. I guess you do because you train for wars (i guess Neopets won't held a war anymore).

You should aim for a full blockers or percentage blockers or reflectors. I think that with your dudget the only ones available to you are Winged Scarab or Yooyuball Player Sling and some fragil reflectors... upgrading your attack can be the best path.

RE: Upgrading set~
You might want to look into those Smokey Bombs that block all icons (one-use though) since you have no defense, along with your Downsize!, Burrow (if you don't have it, get it) Sink (same), and Fiery Gaze (already mentioned) remember, you will have to increase your level for these, but training at level 1 should be a breeze, even with your 5-15k a day budget...

Somebody should be able to give you the name, although I can go look it up on IDB real quick...

Thick Smoke Bomb is the name, not sure how to do the IDB link things yet...

Hehe, Diablo just for future referance, if you see somthing you want to copy, hit reply. a reply quote will show you what you need to type to have a link, which is with square brackets instead of the ones i have: (idb)item name(/idb). I don't put them because i don't like them, but if you do go for it Smile.

RE: Upgrading set~
How do I do attack/defence icons? You know, the fire, water, air, physical, dark, earth and light ones...

I'm not a fan of non-100% freezers or dual-duties.
