For at least a little while now, I've been looking into increasing my shop size a bunch and joining a mall. I don't have enough to open in the main marketplace, but I have enough to be in the Island or perhaps Spooky marketplace. How much could I expect to make in, say, a month or so? Is it worth the amount of NP invested in shop size, noticeboard ads, and stock?

If you're going to island/spooky, and joining a mini mall, maybe 20k a day, maybe?

Not really worth it unless go to main, and even then, still a lot of work to get established in a good mall...

I think you make a bit more than 20k a day, if you get a shop in Island/Spooky, have a good spot, and do a bit of advertising, you'll make more than that. Someone I knew had all of those, and made about 80-90k a day...

Well, 20K a day is more than I make now, and it would be a good way to make some money while trying to move up into a main marketplace mall.

Yes but you need to spend an insane amount to get into a marketplace mall which means if you got into an okay one it'd take you years to earn back Jest

I don't think it would take YEARS, but it would sure take a while. Let's see... at 100K a day, it would take about half a year to break even. After that, though I would be sitting pretty. Not to mention I would still make some from World Challenges.

Well, let's see. You think because you see a 100k til that you are earning 100k a day. No, you're not. Especially with today's competition, the prices in malls are lower than they used to be which means the profit per item is lower than it used to be.

Also, 100k a day isn't happening as often anymore. A lot of malls are a bust nowadays unless you're heavily favoured by your owner. I even found myself in that position for a week when I switched malls.

*cough* As I said, if you can get established with a decent section in a good mall you will make more that that, especially during the summer, holidays, and weekends. I don't think it's at all unreasonable to say that you should be able to make your money back in six months or less if you are diligent in finding a good mall and keeping a good shop.

Yoshi... it's rather hard for people to get into decent section in a good mall nowadays unless they already know someone. Generally decent sections are given to favored friends of the mall owner, and lately quite a few malls are busting.

It can still be done. Didn't say it would be easy, but you can get in Wink
