This article is mainly comparing scrolls to scorchstones- how do they heal and which is better? I found that a lot of people didn't really know the difference (like me), or weren't very clued in on it (like me), so I decided to do some tests, and wrote this article...
Let's compare a Greater Healing Scroll to a Purple Scorchstone. Both heal the same, and are basically the same, (not counting the prices) right? Wrong. What's the difference? Let's put you into a battledome scene...
Your max HP is 100, and you have 75 HP left. You're against a 85 boost pet, and he uses two Magical Glowing Carrots, which do 5 icons each. That makes 25 damage.
In the next move, you use your Greater Healing Scroll- here's what'll happen, in order.
1- Your greater healing scroll will heal you 50 HP (no overheal), giving you 100 HP.
2- Your opponent attacks you with 10 icons, dealing 25 damage.
3- You end up with 75 damage.
Now, let's say that you used a Purple Scorchstone instead of a Greater Healing Scroll- Here's what'll happen then.
1- Your opponent attacks you with 10 icons, dealing 25 damage.
2- You have 50 HP.
3- Your Purple Scorchstone heals you 50 HP, giving you 100 HP.
Hmm... So, maybe the Scroll isn't as good as you thought. But, that scene is quite in the SS' favour. Let's look at another scene...
Your max HP is 100, and you have 25 HP left. You're against a 55 boost pet, and he uses two Ramtors Spellbooks, which do 10 icons each. That makes 50 damage.
You use a Greater Healing Scroll:
1- Your Greater Healing Scroll will heal you 50 HP, giving you 75 hp.
2- Your opponent attacks, doing 50 damage.
3- You end up with 25 HP.
Now, let's see what'll happen if you use a Purple Scorchstone...
You use a Purple Scorchstone.
1- Your opponent attacks, dealing 50 damage. (Don't worry, this doesn't kill you, but in tests, it brings you down to a minus. So, you have -25 HP right now.)
2- You use a Purple Scorchstone.
3- You end up with 25 HP.
So, they're equal. Let's look at one last scene...
Your max HP is 100, and you have 25 HP left. You're against a 85 boost pet, and he uses two Magical Glowing Carrots, which do 5 icons each. That makes 25 damage.
You use a Greater Healing Scroll
1- Your Greater Healing Scroll Heals to 75 HP.
2- Your opponent attacks, doing 25 damage.
3- You end up with 50 HP.
You use a Purple Scorchstone.
1- Your opponent attacks, doing 25 damage.
2- Your Scorchstone heals you 50 HP.
3- You end up with 50 HP.
So, there- The works of the Greater Healing Scroll and Purple Scorchstone in a nutshell. Also, keep in mind that this work applies to all Healing Scrolls and Healing Scorchstones. I could go on about this, but I won't, instead, I'll just end this article with a FAQ- I hope this helped!

FAQ:
Q: Which would you say is the better? The Scorchstone or the Scroll?
A: Well, In my personal opinion, I'll say the Scroll is much better. You save
a lot. Plus, normally, you wouldn't really be using it when you only have 25 HP a lot. Scenes two and three (see above) are MUCH more common.
Q: What's the difference?
A: What?!? You don't see it?!? Well, I'll say it once and once only- The Scroll heals before your opponent attacks, the Scorchstone after. Also, the Scorchstone overheals, the Scroll doesn't. So, if you heal with a Purple Scorchstone at max HP, and your opponent does 25 damage- No damage done to you.
