The lab is certainly very helpful and very much worth its cost, you just can't rely on it alone. I labbed for a month and saved well over a million np in training costs. Then, I stopped so I could have some time to catch my stats up with the training school. If you do lab + kitchen quests, unless your pet is still very weak, you wont be able to keep up using the training school because the courses take too long. At that point, just don't lab quite so much.
is there certain species that get better effects from the ray or is it all random? im leaning on random but im not 100% sure
Its all random. I have seen how much other people's pets have changed compared to mine and i think the lab is very good. But I would use it on a pet that you haven't trained much with, until you either like the species, the color, both, or the stats.
I'm following this guide, hope my pet can turn out well
What do you guys think about the RUmor that zapping at :40 helps ( or any other time for that matter) i have been doind the :40 zap and the one thing i notice is that it almosst never changes my species or color ( but if often changes stats and gender) and any other time i am likely to get a speiaes change
hmm never tried that before
I have a lvl 18 pet that i was zapping with the lab ray and it changed my pets species .. now my question is if i wanted to change back to that species could I use a morphing potion?
Yeah,u can use it to change back to your species but it may change again if you lab.
Whee its too late for me to use this guide

*has a pure-labbed pet*

Kev - I hope you do post back on your views xP
Just a quick question. Does level 20 make the "Return to Lvl1" chance disappear completly or make it less of a chance?
I believe less of a chance.
