That is true, but his reference of 7.73 and 8 is much closer than 3 and 8, so there is a much smaller margin of error. In most situtations that would make sense, but its a little too close to judge it like that.
I dont really see a big difference in fractional icon weapons, except for the fact that they are a whole lot cheaper :D.
The way I see it is (Correct me if I'm wrong)
Anything uder 55 boost a 7.73 icon weapon will do the same damage compared to an 8 icon weapon.
At 55, 85, 125 and 200 strength boost, a 7.73 icon weapon will differ by 1 hp of damage compared to an 8 icon weapon.
7.73 x 2/2.5/3/4.5 = 15.46 (15)/19.325 (19)/23.19 (23)/34.785 (35) - 8 x 2/2.5/3/4.5 = 16/20/24/36
After that, you are venturing out into more advanced weapons and better ones.
I think the florbix blaster is great because at lower boosts, 7.73x 1.5 (35boost)= 11.595, rounded to 12. the DBD, which costs 100-150k more does 8x 1.5, or 12 ;)
overall, fractionals don't make that much of a difference, as they did the same damage before people found out, and they will still work as well as they once did
douglas, go take a look at the cocobolas and tell me if it makes a difference ;)
Faerie Kougra Sword shows 5 icons, but only does 2. That's a big difference ;)

*pokes previous post* By 1 hp of damage until 250 boost... and by then if you are using those items... its time for an upgrade :D
You guys also have to think about icon variety. I mean, Dark Battle Duck is better than Florbix Blaster in many ways, and Florbix Blaster is better than Dark Battle Duck in many ways. There's one common way though where Dark Battle Duck is better than Flrobix Blaster at.T hat's when your opponent uses a Leaf Shield. A Leaf Shield would bring Florbix Blaster to 1.73 icons, while bringing Dark Battle Duck to 3 icons. There's a 1.27 icon difference there. now, your probably thinking that's not a lot, but it's a big deal. It could mean 3 extra damage if you have 55 Stength Boost and if you use Dark Battle Duck instead. Now, once you keep getting higher, more damage is at stake. Let's say you have 700 Strength Boost and use a Dark Battle Duck ( Very Doubtful :P ) That 1.23 icons could mean more than 15 damage. Now I'm sure you guys know that's a lot ;)
You guys can't just think of how many icons. Think of icon variety. Many people used to favor Brain Tree Mace, until they all figured out that it was completely blocked by Leaf Shield. Now it's one of the weapons that not many of us use ;)

Yeah, that could be taken into account... but this is a debate on fractionals, not icon variety.
It's not all about icon variety.
That .23 icons could mean a whole bunch, and Leaf Shield bringing down those two weapons shows which one is really better ;)

Not really, kingofgames. Read what I posted. It only has 1.73 icons. The rest of it's icons are gone by Leaf Shield, while Dark Battle Duck doesn't get killed as much ;)

Hmm... Well (if this is outside of fractional debate)...
If it was a price related issue or if you play 1P a lot more than 2P, I would go with F-Blaster... But in any other circumstance, DBD is better IMO because of the icons it does.
