so how do i buy them

Use auctions, or invest in expensive items to use the trading post.
I've never seen question abbreviated as qn before, actually. Had to look it up.
Yep, it usually works like Mike says. (Or if you really want you can buy them directly from the tower

it turns out i was testing the TP using a jelly and i couldnt bid higher than 800k
but now everythings fine
