My computer has two user accounts: one was blocked by me because it had too many virus, when they were gone severely damaged some things that i cant change and i cant delete it, it says me that you cant delete this user account because this is an internal one,the one that i am using currently is full of virus, too, because of downloads of my brothers, when i scan, recent documents and every other type of cookie is deleted, i just want to start from the begining, take a CD with all the data of the pc and... put it on my HD as if it were new... thanks for the help
I think what you want to do is reformat your computer. This is probably best done with the help of someone who has done it before. It will probably involve with all your documents being deleted though.
If reformatting is out of the question, your other option is to do the work and clean up your computer. Start with a good virus scanner. I suggest AVG (
http://free.avg.com/ ) or Avast! (
http://www.avast.com/ ). Then follow up with good anti-spyware programs. I use both Ad-Aware (
http://lavasoft.com/ ) and Spybot (
http://www.safernetworking.org/index2.html ). All of these programs are very good and free. Once you get your computer cleaned up, you'll want to have user accounts set up for everyone in the house. That way, any damage done by one person can be localized.
i decided to reformat, but since i am not very good in things like that, i decided to try first in an old pc in my house. i got a guide of how to do it and the guide in one point says that i have to put in the settings in the bios that the cd-rom is runned first than the HD, done, the cd of my windows presents 4 options: instal windows, BootCd hiren, start from HD and reset. when i choose instal windows it says me that i have to press a button so the cd installs, i have pressed all the buttons but the thing just ignores me and starts the pc normally. when i choose bootcd hiren, (and have disabled trend chipaway virus) a list with various options appears, and i have to presss some buttons, and happens the same: the thing just ignores me (but doesnt starts the pc normally)
if you now how to make the computer take the commands or know a easy, reliable way of reformating please port it
What version of windows do you have, and does your computer have a floppy drive? If it does, your first step is to make a reboot disk. Your easiest bet is bootdisk.com and that can be done here:
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm choose the option that applies to your system and save to your floppy disk
Then:
1. In the bios, choose the option to boot to floppy as your first bootable drive and cd drive as second and restart
2. At the A: prompt, type "format C:" (without the quote marks)
3. answer yes to the warning
4. wait until it finishes
5. Take out floppy disk, insert windows cd, restart and re-install Windows
i did it, but at the time of typing format c, the computer didnt reacted and... the same history. meh i will try with the new one a see waht happens... thanks anyways
