For those of you who have been around for a while. You are probably familiar with my song writting and songs .etc I haven't picked up a pen (or in my case a keyboard and notepad) for about a year now. I have recently written something to sort out the confusion in my head. It is very different than my usual compositions. Much more straight forward and less Metaphoric. I am working on getting an acoustic guitar to accompany this now and maybe a little piano =]
Definately not my best work but I tried variety, its not a complete failure either.
An Angels Smile
[Verse]
The warmth of your hand,
made me understand.
Theres nothing before you,
Theres nothing more than you...
A desperate act of boldness,
your warmth turned to coldness.
My life withered away,
My heart decayed.
[Chorus]
I've seen past your illusion,
the monster with an angels smile
Don't say you never loved me
Don't say you never loved me
[Short Verse]
Memories drown my eyes in tears
I've bled to fight all your fears
You merely turn around and leave
My heart still believes
[Bridge] x#
I caught your tears and made them my own
[Chorus]
I've seen past your illusion,
the monster with an angels smile
Don't say you never loved me
Don't say you never loved me
[Conclusion]
Seeking that which cannot be,
You will never be a memory
Definately not my best work but I tried variety, its not a complete failure either.
