So iDB hasn't seen much of me in a LONG time. Toungue I lost interest in Neopets a long time ago, and that's about when I lost interest in iDB as well. Played Guild Wars to pass the time in the following two summers to pass the time. And now, I really do a lot of stuff. Photography, stage managing, working, school, astronomy, guitar, the list goes on.

Anyways, here's some of my pictures. I've done most of my artistic stuff in black and white in the darkroom, and I'm actually planning to build a shed/darkroom combo this summer since I no longer have access to the school one as I've graduated. I've got a few scans of some black and white negatives that I'll share and some color digital photographs too. I'll post them in no real order...

I have quite a few that I like. Most are available at larger resolutions if you click them and choose "all sizes". Smile You don't have to read the little text accompany each unless you want to. Sooo... Yup.

This is where I've worked three years. I've done the math and figured I've done over 500 hours of work in this room. This enlarger in particular is the one I've used for past, and my final school year there.

This is one of my favorite black and white images I've done in the darkroom. It was raining, and extremely windy out there on the levee. Me, bike, and tripod.

Abstract picture. I like the lines and radial symmetry.

This was from a long time ago, shot on color negative and converted to black and white with computer. A lot of people liked it, which surprised me!

Angel eyes. Her head is about as large as the length of your thumb.

Love the texture and the lines on this macro shot.

I took this photograph today actually. I spent last night working on an old digital camera, prying it open and working my way to the CCD chip (that's what picks up and reads the light to form a digital image). Got through the casing and two circuitry boards and several ribbon wires before I found it. Pried off the infrared sensor and replaced it using some super glue with an exposed, developed film negative which was essentially a visible-light filter. Essentially turned that cheap older camera into an infrared digital camera! It's much harder to take infrared photographs today as the film is much more difficult, and more expensive, to acquire, as are the chemicals. And very, very few digital cameras are set up to take infrared pictures with the internal infrared filters they all have guarding the CCD chip. Anyways I plan on doing this with another camera, as well as opening this one back up and reapplying another visible light filter. The one I used I got a smudge on, which I hadn't seen.

Took this one a long time ago, and it went up in a photo show. I liked the variety of nature in it. It's been used in a couple articles dealing with the California levee crisis.

Biked a few miles out onto the levee for this photograph. Yes, it was very, very dark coming back after I took this shot!

Taken through a bus window with my new camera.

Can't beat the reflections. I really, really want to go back here again. This was taken at Knight's Ferry here in California.

Lake Tahoe picture. I don't like it too much, but I'm posting it because of its popularity.

I've posted this one before of Half Dome, but here it is again. One of my favorite old pictures, from five years ago. Smile

Retouched this picture after five years. You can see what a difference editing can make with them side-by-side.

Gorgeous building, Blenheim Palace in London.

Used a long ten second exposure to capture this reflection on a window.

I took this shot. I took this shot...! And we didn't even get to use it in the school newspaper, which was what I was hoping for. Deadline was the day of the rally...

This one did make it to the newspaper, though. Only wished you could see their faces, but I wasn't very patient that day and didn't spend too much time photographing it. Maybe if they had been girls...

Another macro shot. I really, really like the colors on this one.

And yet another macro shot. Again, the colors. I like blue. Smile

I took this photograph on film during a lunar eclipse in September last year. I made five exposures on one frame of film with half-hour intervals, and had to calculate my exposure as the moon changed faces into totality during the lunar eclipse. I stayed up way late for, and woke up about every 25 minutes to take the exposure!

My cat, Andy. Man, he's a good cat!

Sad lots of little white boxes with red "x"s

Ohh wow, Dubai blocks Flickr <.< Guess i wont being seeing this. Problems on my end, not yours.
I see them just fine.... Nice pics, I liked the long-exposure one the best
Your photography skills are excellent.

My favorite is the very first colored one. I love it. Toungue
Buzz, what kind of camera do you use? I like the black and white photos the best!
That's some nice work, Buzz. Smile

I especially like the long exposure shot showing the reflection. It's really trippy until you know what it is. Toungue
Hehe. A Rubber ducky.

I really like the whiteness of the tree in your infared one.

The picture from the bus window - I love the hills/mountains in the background. We have some of those rolling-esque hills here. Absolutely beautfiul.

I like the Angel one. Definately does not look originally small.

Nice job. I like seeing your photographs.
Nice photos...

I love your first macro. I guess I can understand you about the Clinton photo. I volunteered (I guess its the proper name?) on my college newspaper too. I got an amazing photo; focus on a singer (low left centered?) all the rest dark and one could see a little motion on his head and microphone. And on time, they didn't used it. But the worst of all they erased it shortly before I left. I couldn't retrieve it. I hope I could communicate effectively this time... at least.
Thanks for bumping this, Kayta!

I think my favorite is either the skyscraper reflection, or the Knight's Ferry reflection. I also really like the eclipse multi-exposure shot. And your cat is adorable Toungue
Ohh yay I can finally see them. Amazing photographs Ohmy
I love your kitty *steals*

I wish I knew how to use my camera that well =p

Good job
