Full Version: A story of a charcoal drawing of mine

So during one of escapes from my high school to taco bell during a particularly pointless day of classes I came across an art class, busy at work drawing a tree with charcoal. Recognizing one of my friends, I plop myself down next to her and watch her work. I was really attracted to charcoal from that instant forward, so I ganked a piece from the art department through her, and went along on my merry way. Sitting on sofa in the computer room reading later that day, I look up to see my sister on the computer. She's a vibrant, youthful little girl, but when she gets on the computer it's like she's a zombie, so I decided to try and capture that with a charcoal drawing.

Constructive criticism absolutely accepted :-) Sorry for the low quality image, it's hard to copy a charcoal drawing, so I just took a picture of it with the digi.
Wow...

I know the phenomenon, I don't quite understand it, but I've seen it, even been it myself.
Wow I have to say, i really like it. I also quite enjoy the fact that you added a story to how you came around to drawing this. it adds to the topic and to the drawing itself.

Gotta say, i love the legs proped up on the chair as thats the way i sit at the computer sometimes. I can relate to the drawing in many ways (thats kinda sad XD).

Only critisism I would have to give is the overall 3d of the chair. The legs look kinda off and not fitting with the 3d of the rest of the drawing. Things like that are tough to get an hang of but with practice you develop a few tricks of your own =)
