hi all.. i dunno if a similar thread has been created but i need some info on my choice of battledome weapons..Cool

my pet stats are below:
strength : 42
defence : 40
HP : 44
level : 24

i have arnd 100k now...

ok my previous battledome set included :
stone club, gold handled katana, leaf shield, earth faerie bow and slingshot, blue scorchstone, flaming oven gloves, mystical white cloak...

now my current set includes :
pike pike, essence of esophagor, leaf shield, greater healing scroll, thick smoke bomb, flaming oven gloves, mystical white cloak...

i wanna know if i shud save up for a Ylanas blaster or buy a golden compass now itself and also if saving up for a honey potion is worth it...

and also i wanna know if there's any good moderately priced (<200k) shield that blocks icons that are totally different from wad leaf shield blocks so that i can use them side by side... for now i'm only using the gloves and cloak as substitute...
Well, your current set is an improvement, but it still could be better. Using a Thick Smoke Bomb is gonna get expensive, and at this stage you want to save money so you can TRAIN, TRAIN, TRAIN your pet. Unless it's a VERY important battle, you might want to think about using a Downsize! instead, which is a once per battle 50% blocker.

Getting a Ylanas Blaster would be a fine move, and it's more of a priority than a Honey Potion. I place training more important than either, but in the weapon area, if you think you can save in a fairly rapid way, go for it. The Golden Compass is an upgrade, but not of the impact of the Y-Blaster, and because I expect the Y-Blaster to increase in price over time, if you're going for it, I'd make that the first priority.

The Ultrasteel Helmet, which does the same as the Mystical White Cloak is your only other pure shield choice, and it costs more to do the same thing, so I'd forget that idea. I'd also toss out the Flaming Oven Gloves, as you'd be much better off with an inexpensive Scarab Ring (defends 3 fire and 3 physical while attacking with six icons), than using the Gloves to block fire. Yes, you'll block a bit less fire, but the attack of the Scarab Ring will more than compensate for that.

Keep Training your pet, the 55 boosts are in sight!
hmm... when i get a Ylanas blaster... which do u think is the best 'companion' weapon to use alongside it??

another Ylanas blaster
pike pike
essence of esophagor
golden compass
ramtors spellbook
scuzzys comb
ice/stone club

i'm a 100% 1p battledomer... so is more variety of icons better or more icons of the same type better??
For one player, if you could afford it, a second Y-Blaster would be the best of the lot you mentioned. But you probably need to deal with a freezer which you don't have listed at the moment than moving on to an upgrade at the #2 offensive attacker spot in your battleset. The lack of the freezer is yet another reason I don't think a Honey Potion is your next priority.
As for what's better, generally, the more icons in total the better, though it obviously depends on the opponent you're going up against and you should always have an option that uses different icons. I'm not crazy about dual anything in the attacker slot, but as early in your battle career as you are, given the superior value on a power for price basis of the Y-Blaster, I think it's workable, but I'd still go for a decent freezing option before a #2 attacker. And remember to TRAIN!
hehe... the only gd freezers i can afford now is a snowglobe staff and green frost cannon... but i think i'll put it off until i get my Ylanas Blaster... since the blaster is my 1st priority
